this is a continuation of my "how do i make my graphics?" chapter — but now w/ step-by-step pictures! this is for my run-of-the-mill gifs that aren't anything fancy, just cropped w/ a filter
o1. find gif
i google "[celeb] gif hunt" and/or search for the same thing on tumblr. the quality + quantity of gifs depends on the celeb u're looking for since some naturally have more sources than others. in honor of just watching bullet train, i will be using logan lerman 🫡
since i'm not looking for anything in particular i'm just going to go w/ the first result on google images, hold down on the gif, and click save to photos

o2. download psd
for psds (filters), i use deviantart. i click the magnifying glass (search) icon at the bottom of the screen, and then search "psd"

a bunch of results come up, + i just keep scrolling until i find something that tickles my fancy. for this example, i'm just going to use the first result which is psd #52 by ravenorlov on deviantart

i will usually look for psds in the deviantart app, but when i go to download them, i switch to the browser version b/c when u hit "download" from the app, the preview pic just downloads to ur photo library so u don't actually get the psd file. from the app, i click on the three dots in the upper right corner and then click copy link
