I stood there shocked when Aarohi turned and left with her friend.

I touched the pocket of my suit where she tucked the rose. I can still feel her hand there.

My heart stopped beating when I felt her hand there.

Nobody has been this close to me before. Not that I'll let anyone come near my personal space.

But Aarohi invading my personal space felt comfortable.

I went inside my office and sat on my seat thinking about the rose which is still tucked in its place.

I saw a glass of water and I kept the rose inside it.

Even while working on my laptop I kept looking at the rose and a certain someone came to my mind whenever I looked at it.

But that certain someone is not leaving my thoughts ever since I saw her.

Aarohi! Why that girl is not leaving my mind??

I heard a knock on the door and Rudra my assistant poked his head inside.

"Sirrr, Mr.Kukreja is here! And he brought his daughter also" Rudra's whining voice reached my ear.

He behaves nicely with everyone but he's not fond of Mr.Kukreja and his daughter.

"Is the conference room ready?" I asked and started collecting the files for the meeting.

"Yes sir, I prepared everything beforehand- what's that?" he was inside the office now looking at the rose.

"A flower I suppose" I replied.

"That I know sir! But who gave you this?" Sometimes he forgets he is my assistant.

He was going to touch the flower when my voice stopped him mid-way.

"Stop right there!" My voice echoed in the office "Get these files and get back to work" I said further.

"Yes sir" Rudra spoke like a soldier and left with the files.

I sometimes wonder why haven't I fired him.

He's been with me for 5 years at this point and he is someone who is close to being called as my friend.

But he is too loud sometimes for my liking.

I looked at the rose one last time and left for the conference room.

I went inside and everyone was present there.

It is an annual shareholder's meeting.

"Hello Reyansh, how are you?" Mr. Kukreja who was at my left asked me as I took my seat.

Before I could answer Rudra opened his mouth.

"That's Mr. Raichand for you," he said rather harshly.
