Talk with the Family
NuNew POV
NuNew felt nervous in his chest. He can feel how his heart is beating so fast nervous. His hands were shaking and so his knees are trembling
"We're here senyorito," said the driver
When he gets closer to the gate, he feels more the tension and nervous. Why is he feeling like this? Is he being interrogated? Aish! Whatever happens, remains. Right! I should brace myself. My mother for sure will scold me big time.
The house was so quiet and he can't even see any lights inside the house. Thankfully Zee let him sleep at his family's house. He misses them too. But why are the lights turned off? Are they not here? But I already told them that I will visit him now.
NuNew gets inside the house since he has a spare key. Seeing how he is comfy with his family makes his heart happy. They can finally live comfortably. Wait, it's not what we should think of.
When NuNew finally gets inside the house, the defeating silence welcomed him. No one is here. He tried to find the switch but failed to find it. Oh, crop! Where is that freaking switch? Next time I will tell the construction worker to renovate this house and arrange the switches.
He opens the flashlight of his phone and goes to his room first. After he puts his things on the bed he goes downstairs hoping to see his family but still the same. The dark is welcoming him. The air is so cold. The night is not yet deep. Ah, so the reason why is it too told when he saw the lights coming outside. The window is open. Why does Mom let the window open?
He tried to call his brother but failed. He sat on the sofa and thought so deeply. He didn't bother to find the switch anymore. He just lay and thought deeply not until when he heard voices coming from him
"Happy Birthday to you"
It was his Mom and P' Mix. NuNew couldn't help but cry
"Happy Birthday to you"
"Happy Birthday .... NuNew..." NuNew couldn't express how happy he is, they never fail to surprise him
"Blow your candle Brother"
*Blow*
"Yey... Happy Birthday to you NuNew, I wish you take care of yourself. Don't work too much, we're just here for you. We love you" NuNew hugs them tightly. What a happy family
"Happy Birthday NuNew, my dear son, don't forget to take some vitamins with you. We love you" NuNew cries again. He can't help but cry in joy. He thought they leave him
"Thank you, Mom, P'Mix"
As they are eating happily, someone interrupted them. NuNew was shocked and cannot process the situation by now when he saw his handsome husband standing in front of him while holding a bouquet. Why is he here?
NuNew suddenly felt worried about his parents but when he saw how their face is happy, he felt happy too. His heart is rejoicing with joy
"Happy Birthday NuNew" Then Zee pick a quick kiss on his cheeks
"Good Evening Auntie and Mix"
"Good evening. C'mon, let's sit"
How did Zee know about his birthday? And why are his mom and brother acting so cool like they already know about his husband
"So, you know each other now?"
"Yeah, we meet at the Thai restaurant. He was the one who pays the bill" Ahww.. how helpful he is
"Thank you"
"It's nothing. You are my husband and they are my in-laws so they are a family to me now" P'Mix burst out the water when he heard what Zee said
"Are you okay P' Mix, drink slowly" P' Mix just nods and cannot help but smile at them and so his mother
"NuNew you still have something to explain"
"I'm sorry Mom, I never intend to lie with you and P' Mix"
"It's not NuNew's fault. It was my idea who keeps the marriage secret. I don't want everyone to know and I know I've been selfish for keeping it but I don't care what others will say if they found out about this. I like your son Auntie" This man knows how to make him blush so much
"Awww... I wish I can find a person same as your husband NuNew"
"But Zee is the only person who is living loyal in this world. But I'm sure you can find your soulmate"
"You keep praising your husband. Okay, you are so in love" Zee couldn't keep but laugh a little when he saw his Mix sulking to his husband
"Thank you for the flowers Zee" NuNew whispers to Zee while his mother and brother are talking nonetheless
"It's my pleasure to serve my husband" he is hoping this day will not end. This is the best day.
After the celebration, NuNew didn't allow Zee to go home since it was very late and he might be in trouble. They still have one room and he is preparing for the pillows to be put in the guestroom. He is much more comfortable and relieved now that finally his family accepted him.
The door opens and saw his mother walking towards him. She looks so happy, he stood up and face his mother. It's time to talk to her formally.
"How's your day NuNew?"
It was a soft tone of voice that his mother questioned
"It was great. Thank you for the birthday celebration Mom, and thank you for accepting Zee and me"
His mother gave him a warm hug that made him feel at ease
"You're my son NuNew. I can't stay mad at you and I understand why did you keep a secret. By the way, your husband is handsome. Where did you meet him?" That's when he realized something from now. He is still keeping a big secret from them. Wouldn't be okay if I tell them the truth? But this situation should be under my care only. Zee already helped me by telling about my marriage status to them.
I can't tell a lie again but Mother keeps asking about his life with Zee "Ahm... I meet him at the company" He did first meet Zee at his company. He clearly remembers, it was the day when he is going to have an interview with his boss and it turns out to be his future fake husband. What a great countenance
"Awww... What a great encounter. Since you two are married, you should take care of each other and love each other. I don't to see you cry NuNew. You are the only hope we have. We are very thankful that you didn't give up helping me and your brother gave us a simple abode and comfortable life"
"Mom don't say thank you. I'm your son, it's my duty to take care of my family. Family comes first, remember Mom" He is sniffing as his tears fall into his cheeks and cause a little cold
"Yeah, I remember that. But you should take care too of your husband. We are not just your family but your husband too" Yeah! Mom is right. Zee is part of the family now but since when? When are we going to stop these lies? It's still sad to know that even though this marriage works with lies he doesn't want to end this.
The contract had been broken and since the two of them did it, then there's no compensation happening. It's just the feeling of worried and frustration is getting worst that he can't endure this forevermore.
