With the gentle glow of fairy lights and the aroma of flowers, there was a festive atmosphere in the air. A lavish location surrounded by vivid flower arrangements and white tela created the ideal atmosphere for a wedding celebration unlike any other. Gazing into my eyes, gorgeous in her wedding gown, my wife and I began this joyful celebration of our love.
Friends and family gathered to see the union of two souls, and the big hall reverberated with cheers, laughter, and the soft clinking of glasses. Surrounded by the folks who had shared our journey, my heart grew full with appreciation and happiness.
We were at the center stage, sitting side by side, enjoying the lively atmosphere. My wife and I had a table, and as the laughter grew louder, I couldn't help but gaze at her with immense love.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, and that gown suits you perfectly," I complimented her. She smiled slightly, trying not to show how delighted she was.
"You look stunning too, baby. But, I had pictured you in a formal white suit. I didn't expect this," she replied, a hint of disappointment on her face.
I chuckled at her comment, wondering if she didn't like my outfit. "Hindi mo nagustuhan?" I asked while gesturing to what I was wearing.
She smiled a bit more and said, "I like it, but I'd love it even more if you were in a formal white suit."
Perplexed, I questioned, "Why?"
She glanced around, then leaned in, encouraging me to place my ear to her if she had a secret to share.
"You'll have a hard time doing the bridal lift later," she whispered.
I couldn't help but burst into laughter at her comment. She playfully pinched my side, but her wide smile and that slightly mischievous look made her even more beautiful.
"Kaya ko naman kahit medyo parehas tayo ng suot," sabi ko sa kanya.
She give me an unsatisfied look at umirap sa ʼkin sabay ininom ang wine sa glass.
Reflecting on her suggestion, I scanned the area for my assistant, and when I spotted her, I waved her over to come closer.
She quickly approached, and I whispered to her, "Do we have a formal white suit? I need one."
She nodded, "Yes, Miss Mercedez. I can fetch it for you right away."
I breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that I had foreseen the need earlier. It turned out my wife wanted me to wear a suit to make it easier for me to lift her later.
"Rhea," I called her, and she turned, surprised by it hindi niya nagustuhan, "Oh... baby. Just wait for a moment; I need to do something," I quickly corrected.
"Where are you going?" she asked, giving me a stern look as she eyed my assistant.
"I'll be back in a flash," I assured her. She nodded, and I seized the opportunity to step out briefly and change into the suit as per her request.
Mabilis akong nakapalit ng damit at kaagad na bumalik sa loob only to find her standing while talking to the woman I know-Miss Vivien. They're talking casually.
This is the first I saw them talking to each other without using stern vocals kasi dati halos mawalan na sila ng boses sa isa't isa... ng dahil sa ʼkin.
