To start with... It could be said that Y/n's favorite time of the year is August. It is mostly the time of harvesting many types of earthly treasures called vegetables and fruits. Sometimes, animals also come out to eat and restock.

The 23rd expedition just so happened to be the first week of August too, making the world outside the walls entirely filled with green like a wide sea of never-ending grassland. You can tell that it's average. Something a normal person would see on the internet and something Y/n doesn't feel so enthusiastically interested in.

But looking at the brothers and sister who raised her looking very much like said first-timers, she didn't have the energy to grumble about how much bored she was. She could only look ahead and scanned as far as she could with her 'humanly average' ability and looked front.

The ride was still ongoing, passed fifteen minutes and the wall behind looked just like the width of a railway train from perspective. Getting smaller the farther the scouts go and the hidden pressure and anxiety of what's beyond this unknown trip was slowly beginning to manifest.

It was scary, alright. Something you fear the most is lurking somewhere and you don't know when it will come out to bite. It was no wonder why the others looked like their attending their own funeral with their expressions, while others tried to focus to divert what fear of monsters they're currently feeling. Again, Y/n chose to be a sport and kept away her obviously too insensitive side comments.

"Y/n, no matter what, if ever we're in danger, make sure to prioritize yourself first." Isabel leaned her horse closer to the younger and said this.

Y/n nodded in response.

Seeing her nonverbal agreement, the older brunette smiled. "Good." and continued to move quietly.

The first titans came out on two simultaneous directions. To which Isabel, Farlan, and Levi immediately confronted even when their captain, Flagen was just about to command. They weren't expecting much of the newbies too, so calling them was more of a safety concern than them bending the rules. However, contrary to expectations, the three managed to slay the titans.

Everyone were amazed and in awe. Yet as soon as they returned to reposition, Flagen scolded them and advised on not wasting more gas than he already had.

Isabel was pissed and gritted her teeth while Y/n shrugged and simply searched her mind for a sentence to consoled her and her brothers. "You guys were cool." with a thumb's up in her stoic face.

Isabel couldn't help but let it go and smile heartlily again. "I'm so glad Y/n finds me cool." She happily followed.

"It's true. From what I saw from them compared to us, it's simply showing how you guys are better." She admitted.

The three knew that Y/n never lied and she was never wrong which consoled them times more than how they calmed earlier and couldn't help but smile. "I'm glad you see it that way." Farlan said.

"It's a fact." Y/n shrugged. Although it is a fact, it still didn't avoid another truth... that they only excel in human categories. But she didn't say more and kept their spirits up.

Blue cloudy skies and green endless vast field with ruins and trees on occasions. It could be seen that there are traces of civilization outside before the terrorism of titans came to play more than a century ago.

Oh such a tragedy. It could have been a more peaceful land if it hadn't been for such careless Asgard god to not only abandon it, but leave his chaotic DNA out like that.

What? Was he scratching his head while flying out the atmosphere? Dude's got a lot of chances to do that on other places but why here?

Y/n's solemn thoughts were immediately disrupted with more titans on the loose. Among all those, Y/n was inactive and had not slain a single titan. She just watched and observed in the sidelines, waiting for any go signal of what she should do.
