MY PROUDEST PROBLEM

It’s not that I respect you
I just happen to save it for mankind;
If you walk on water
Sharks live in seas.

The crowd told me
“If someone says you would do
Such a thing, we would never agree.”
“If someone said you would not believe it
I would never be surprised.”
I responded squarely.
Sometimes, it’s preferable to be a bad ass
But thank the Lord for being a good ass

So, man would soon be right
When the hypocrites I fight for
Are the same people
To accuse me of foolhardiness
But I am fragile
To burden every nonsense.
The public that backed you
Will undeniably back you
One man, though, stood Gethsemane.
Heed to the hooting of the pigeon!

Everyone is a cynic
And who isn’t?
So, one breath kept puffing my heart;
I had a mission in life
The devil can wait his due
