Nothing in the golden rule says that others will treat us as we have treated them.

It only says that we must treat others in a way that we would we want to be treated.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sit crissed crossed on my bed and rock back and forth while covering my ears with my palms, trying to drown out the sound of the stairs creaking, someone was making their way upstairs, creak! Creak! Creak! The steps begin to get closer and closer towards my door "go away!!!!" I scream but the steps still proceed to come, Creak! Creak! Creak! Getting Closer and closer and then they stop, I listen and hold my breath, staring at the door while my heart beats wildly in my chest, and then suddenly someone knocks, Bam! Bam! Bam! I stay silent my eyes widening as the sound takes another round, Bam! Bam! Bam! "Mom you home early?" I say shakily peeking under the door crevice, no one answers. "is that you mom?" I try again. Nothing but silence. Then,
"you lied" a little girl whispers viciously, and my heart skips a beat,
"whos there?" I say warily
"you know who I am" the voice seems closer and I break out into a sweat
And grab the bible off my nightstand "leave! whatever you are, I have the bible, I'm a Christian you can't
touch me" I ramble while waving the bible in the air, the little girl chuckles and chuckles icily and I can
feel the chills run down my spine. She was behind me. I hold my breath and freeze
"that's not gonna work" she flicks the book invisibly out of my hand and it slams strongly against the
wall making an indent in the sheetrock. For some reason her voice sounded like a younger girls voice, but that didn't stop me from shriveling in fear.
"leave me alone, I'll do whatever you want just leave me alone" I say shakily, tears rolling down my cheeks
"yeah?" she asks and I can hear the malevolent smile in her voice
"whatever you want" I say giving into my sobs and shaking brutally.
Silence.
The pressure was so intense that I could feel her evil presence burning my skin. "I..... waaaaaant...." She ponders loudly in her girly childlike voice "-your soul, I want payback. I want you dead"
"nnnoooo" I stutter
"I get whatever I want bitch!" she whines angrily while stomping her foot. The force rocks my bed, and I break out into a run trying to escape, but the door knob won't budge, I twist and twist but It doesn't move. Come on' I throw my weight on the door to try to knock it down, but that doesn't work either.
All in my Furry I hear Icy laughter and I turn around, for first time, making eye contact with the demon that had been taunting me all these years.
My throat becomes dry, and I wither in fear. She was a bloodied face 5 year old girl with a busted disgusting decaying skull and a small figure carrying that was carrying a
ragged white teddy bear and wearing a torn dirt stained church dress and shoes, she was smiling at me
wickedly, and I remembered her face all too well, in fact she didn't look like me, her hair was curlier and a much darker brown, and instead of having brown eyes, hers were cold hard and grey, my body starts
to shake Violently in fear, she was supposed to be dead. Guilt takes over me and I blurt out in a stutter
"I didn't mmmmmean to. iit was an aaaacident", all while a familiar flashback starts to come back to me
with full force, I try to sustain it but the memory comes anyway, and with It my guilt.
