I walk into the coffee shop and see Eli and Mary sitting at one of the tables.
"Hey sorry I'm late" I great them as I sit down
"Hey no big deal we just got here" Eli tells me
I try not to smile at seeing Eli and Mary holding hands.
"What did you need to talk to us about?" Mary asks as she sips her chai tea
I laugh nervously not knowing how to say this "um I know this going to sound really weird and uh" I scratch the back of my neck
"Jess you can tell us anything we're your friends" Eli gives me a smile
"How weird can it be really" Mary laughs
"Well I've been doing a lot of research on my house trying to figure out the real story and um"
"Uh huh?" Mary says confused
"You know the story that Kate told me" I ask them
"Yeah" Mary nod intrigued
"Well it's not true" I blurt out
"That figures" Eli shakes his head
"What's the real story then?" Mary asks me
"There were these two teenage siblings that went to live with this woman that lived in my house and the woman made everyone think she was this Saint but she was actually horrible and used to beat the siblings and torcher them and other foster kids even resulting in some death. One day the siblings were trying to leave and run away but the woman found out and stab both of them and through the boy down the stair breaking his neck" I finish
They both at me shocked and confused not knowing what to say.
"Umm how do you know all this?" Mary says
"I found the girl that used to live there she told me the story" I say which is kinda true
"Wow I didn't know she actually lived I thought both of them died" Eli says not believing it
"So you went and looked for her and she told you everything?" Mary says
"Yeah I looked her up on the internet and called her and went to her house" I tell them
"So that's what actually happened at your house" Eli says to himself
"But that's not the only reason I called you guys" I say
"What is it?" Eli asks
"Well I need your help" I start saying
"We owe you one Jess you can tell us" Mary smiles
"Okay I need you guys to drive me to the woman that used to own my house so I can talk to her" I look down at the table not wanting to see the look on their faces
"So let me uh get this straight you want us to take you to the lady that killed that guy and other kids so you can talk" Eli says like I'm crazy
"Why would you want to do that" Mary asks
"The girl that survived Lucy she needs me to help her. There's a little girl that living with the woman who's name is miss Watson who killed her brother and she wants me to help her so the little girl doesn't get hurt" I say
"Okay we'll help" Mary nods
"What? Seriously?" Eli looks at her now like she's crazy
"Do you want her to go alone?" Mary says to him
He sighs "fine we'll take you. When?"
"Now actually" I give them a weak smile
"Let's go" Mary stands up
"Yeah let's go to the crazy ladies house that murders teens" Eli says under his breath
