"Jess wake up" I hear my aunt yell
"I'm up" I say with a yawn
I quickly get up and take a shower.
I actually fix my hair and put makeup on trying to make sure I make a good impression.
I come down stairs to the kitchen.
"Morning" she smiles at me
"Morning" I smile back
"I made coffee" she hands me a cup
"Thank you" I lick my lips
"Don't be nervous" she tells me
"I'm not" I lie
I know she doesn't believe me.
"You call me if you need anything okay?" She looks at me
"Okay" I nod
"I really have to get going but I'll see you later" gives me one last smile and leaves leaving me alone in the house
I really wish Luke was here.......
"You would say there's nothing to be nervous about" I say out loud "I would say I'll see you after school and You would say I'll be here" I say this conversation out loud to myself
I hear the doorbell ring, I take another gulp of my coffee and grab my book bag.
I open the door to see Felix looking impatient.
"Ready" he asks me
"Yep" I say and close the door behind me
He doesn't wait he walks to the car and gets in, I quickly climb in.
I don't know if I should say something or not?
"Uh thanks for taking me" I tell him
"Not like I had much of a choice" he mumbles
Awkward silence.
I'm usually okay with no talking so I don't know why it's bugging me that no ones talking?
"Is everyone nice at your school?" I try again
He laugh humorlessly "not really" is all he says
"Good to know" I mumble
We pull up at the school parking lot.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
I can feel Felix looking at me.
I open my eyes and he quickly looks away and gets out Of the car
I follow him inside.
"I'll take you to the office" he says not looking at me
"Thanks" I mumble
I try not to look at anyone, I can feel eyes on me. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
I see the office door.
"I'll see you later" he says with a blank expression and walks off
I open the door and see a middle age woman behind the desk.
"Hi I'm new" I say to her
"Hello welcome, what's your name?" She asks me
"Jessica Taylor" I tell her
"Okay here's your schedule" she hands me a piece of paper "good luck" she smiles and goes back to doing what ever she was doing
