20 days till graduation

20. 20 more days till i never had to be in this place again. i couldn't figure out if i was excited or upset. it was bittersweet

i was dazed off in english not caring what the teacher was saying. i already have all my credits and they couldn't not let me graduate so i gave up on listening

my phone buzzed and i unlocked it

grayson; what are you doing for lunch? some of my friends are going out to get taco bell

kelsey; wow you actually invited me

grayson; ill be inviting you to everything to make sure you don't post those pics

kelsey; lol i'll meet u in the parking lot

after the bell rang i grabbed my wallet from my locker and walked to the parking lot. i was super nervous to be in a small group setting with people i've never really talked too

i saw grayson walking towards me with jackson and omari , also followed by jessica and kayla

i new of them

"hey kelsey, how about the boys take my car and the girls take jessica's? sound good?" he asked

a bunch of yeahs were thrown around and i started to follow the girls

"so kelsey you and grayson?" she asked

"no we're not a thing or whatever. just friends" i say quietly hoping on of them wasn't talking to grayson

"oh cool. well i think we will be great friends" kayla smiled. i really didn't think the popular kids were this nice

maybe they're only nice to each other and bitches to non popular kids?

because i still recall when kayla made fun of me back in freshman year

"want the aux?" jessica asked

i said sure and prayed they would like my music. i plugged it in and played "all black" by a-boogie (favorite song atm lol)

jessica and kayla both looked at each other

"you're already are bestfriend" kayla said and i smiled. wow i'm really off to a good start

we pulled into taco bell after singing almost every song on my playlist at the top of our lungs

we meet the boys and ordered our food

"let's dig in!" omari unwrapped his taco faster then i've ever seen

"kelsey you need to come to my party this weekend! my parents are going away" she smiled

"of course, just let me know the time and stuff" i said and took a sip of my freeze

"what school are you going too?" jackson asked

"ucla ( aka ambers dream school) , what about you guys?" i asked

"i'm going to community" jackson said

"north carolina" kayla said

"penn state" jessica said

"nyu" omari said

wow i didn't think any of them would get into these schools. no offense to them, they just make themselves look so dumb

"what about you?" i ask grayson who's sitting across from me

"haven't made a choice yet" he said

"okay what about ethan?" i ask

"he's going to university of nevada in reno" he said. i nodded my head

they all went into conversation about how fun the party is going to be this weekend and i sat there wondering maybe they aren't that bad
