Miss Ahmad, I need you to take this to the CEO. He is to sign them. You can leave them with him. After that you are done for the day.
Mr. Basher told me handing me some documents.

Okay Sir. But I thought you have a meeting in 30 minutes. Does that mean I don't have to attend the meeting? I asked carefully.

Yes miss Ahmad. That's right. Now off you go.

I was filled with joy knowing I am free to go home in the next twenty minutes. I have been working with Mr. Basher for almost a month now and so far I don't have any problem. The man is easy to work with.

I entered the elevator with joy and pressed the last floor.

I know the CEO's office is there but I've never seen him or been to his office. From what I heard he is not friendly but who cares? I'm not trying to get friendly with him. I don't even see him frequently.

I was brought out of my reverie when the elevator doors opened. 'That was fast' I thought. As I stepped out of the elevator the first words I heard were, You're fired.

I was frozen there. A woman who should be 26 years of age came out of the office with her hands over her mouth. She ran past me and didn't even take elevator and went for the stairs. My stomach knotted. I began trembling with fear.

A voice in my head was telling me to go back but another is reminding me 'what do you tell Mr. Basheer?'

After a long debate I decided to go on towards the office. I took slow steps until I reached the office. I swallowed a lump and brought my hands up to knock. I didn't get to do that as the door swung open and I almost fell inside.

What do you want? I heard and I quickly looked up. 'Ya Illahy' I thought. This can't be. Please God. Make it a dream...

I asked what do you want? Don't make me repeat it again.

I quickly looked at my hands and started trying to form words.

I..I ..Mr. Basheer...he asked me to bring this to you? I finished questioning rather than stating.

He glared at my hands before turning back into the office. I stood there blinking as the door started closing.

Are you going to continue standing there like an idiot??
He barked. I quickly pushed the door and got inside. He was already seated Behind his huge desk.  I moved towards the desk and placed the documents on it.
Should I leave it here sir? Mr. Basheer said I can leave it with you.
