Thump thump.  Noise. Noise. Thump.

Airah buried her head under her pillow as the noise refused to go away. What In the world is happening? What is that noise?  She thought.

And then her pillow was yanked away.  Of course it was none other than Amal. Airah glared hard at her before turning her face away from the light.

"Airah get up. Your beauty sleep is over. You have to get up now." Amal said smacking her arm.

"Go away. The sun isn't even fully up."

She could hear Amal huff a sigh before opening the curtain and the bright sunlight illuminated the room.

Airah felt like hiding under the bed to get more sleep. Her body felt like it hasn't had any sleep.

"Airah for goodness sake your Dinner is today, it's 9 in the morning your henna hasn't been done
and you are still in bed. Get your big head out of that bed now. "

The sleep in Airah's eyes completely disappeared the moment Amal had her little outburst. It's her Dinner- her wedding dinner - she was getting married tomorrow.

She reached for her phone and sure they were lots of missed calls from her husband to be. She was carried away by the bridal shower she forgot to call him and slept off early. She was about dialing his number when Amal snatched the phone from her.

"Not so fast missy. Bathroom now." Amal said pointing to the bathroom door.

"You are so mean Amal. I wonder how you are still my friend." Airah whined.

"I'm not your friend girl, I'm your besty. Now go shower. We have a lot to do before 5."

Airah got our of bed and walked to the bathroom but not after smacking Amal on the arm.

The house was noisy. Surprisingly not much people were here, just her friends that they came with yesterday and a few cousins. Deedee was walking around like the busy bee she is. When she saw Airah her eyes lit up like she just remembered something.

"Oh thank goodness you are finally up. You are the first bride I have seen that wakes up late during her wedding events. Some don't even sleep well you know."

"Deedee, I was extremely tired yesterday. " She murmured.

Deedee just chuckled at her. "Well that aside you better go start that henna because after that we have to go do some last minute adjustments and the make up artist will be here soon too."

"I didn't know weddings were this tiring. I mean you always see the bride all shiny and smiling like she didn't know how to frown. But the way I'm feeling right now I don't think I can smile for a minute straight."

Deedee laughed this time around. "Between you and Fadeelah I don't know who the bigger baby is. Now off you go. I'll tell Falmah to make you some pancakes, I know that will boost your energy."

She thanked Deedee before making way to the balcony were the other ladies were having their hands done.

"Oh, and Areef called. He said he can't get to you." Airah's eyes bulged. She has forgotten again to call him after she came out of the bathroom. She didn't even know where Amal is and she's with her phone.

"I wanted to call him this morning but Amal has my phone and I don't know where she is. "

"Ummee asked her to go get something for you at home, she left just before you came out. Don't worry about it. I told him your phone must have died but you are alive and healthy." Deedee turned and rushed off before Airah could utter a word.
