Chapter 19: Lilies

I was rushing out in the morning to go for work when I caught a glimpse of Fahad. He was also on his way out.
"Ina kwana(morning)" I said as I made my way to my car.

"Lafiya kalau Yasmin(Morning Yasmin)" he said with a smile. "Are you going to the hospital?"

"Yeah"

"Come, I can drop you on my way to the office"

"It's okay, don't worry about it" I said as I stood beside my car.
I looked down and noticed that I had left the key inside.
"Shit!" I said as I was already running late. I slowly turned around and watched Fahad trying to hold his laugh as I made my way to him
"Can you please drop me at the hospital?" I asked slowly.

"Glad you asked my lady" he said as he entered the car and turned it on. "What are you waiting for, get in"

I got in the car.
"Seatbelt please" he said.

I turned and put the seatbelt on.

"Do you know the way to the hospital or do I have to show you?" I asked.

"Of course I know the way"he said. "Remember how I was parading up and down just to get a certain someone agree to marry my handsome self " he added in a teasing tone.

I rolled my eyes but I couldn't help but smile.

"Left" I said.

"I know the way Yasmin"

"Go straight and take the u-turn"

"You're so annoying" he said as he eyed me.

"I want to go home" I said softly.

"Didn't we just come out"

"No, I mean my parents' house"

"Ohh, we can go later today"he nodded in agreement.

"Really?" I asked happily.

"Really" he said as he parked in front of the hospital.

"Thank you" I said and for the first time with a genuine smile.

"Yasmin" he called out as I closed the door.

"Yes?"

"No kisses?" he asked with a pout.

"No" I said firmly.

"Not even a hug?"

"No"

"You're so boring" he said while glaring at me.

I stuck my tongue at him and entered the hospital.
"Morning Doctor"

"Morning Musa" I said

I walked to my office. As soon as i sat down, i dialed daddy's number.
"Hello" he said "Yasmin"he added.

"Na'am(Yes) daddy ina kwana(good morning)"I said happily.

"Lafiya(Morning) how are you?"

"I'm fine, how is everyone?"

"Alhamdulillah everyone is fine"

"I asked Fahad and he said we're coming today"

He laughed " you're already missing your old man"

"Yes daddy" I said as I laughed."Where's mama?" I asked.

"She went down to prepare breakfast for your brother"
