Balloons & Flowers.

"What?!" Ibrahim said looking at me with his eyes bulging.

"How am I supposed to say yes ehn? You haven't even wished me happy birthday. Imagine!"

" I'm so sorry baby. I just wanted to surprise you nei. Happy birthday my love, ....."

"You think these balloons would help you out ? DanAllah pack them." I interrupted him.

He started picking them.

Wai what's this guy's problem? Doesn't he understand reverse psychology?

I noticed Ya Ahmad laughing in a corner. I glared at him and he made the 'i'm zipping my mouth already' sign.

"Oh! You're even packing it? Instead of you to even.."

"But you said I should..."

"That's my problem with boys, baku da ganewa."

He hit his palm on his forehead.

I was enjoying the scene. Who asked him not to wish me a happy birthday.

Good for him.

"Haba lil princess, I'm so sorry.. please please forgive me."

He thinks I'll forgive him just like that?

I kept quiet.

"Okay okay, I'll buy you ice cream."

"Too late! Ya Ahmad beat you to it."I said crossing my arms.

"I'll buy you the divergent trilogy."

Oh my God! I've been dying to get those books. They cost a fortune.

I smiled.

"Latest editions?"

"Yes babe."

"Deal."

"Thanks hun but you still haven't answered my question?"

Does this guy need an interpreter or what?

He just bribed me with a couple of books fah.

"Well, you didn't buy all these balloons and flowers for nothing. Of course I'd marry you."

He almost hugged me when Ya Ahmad cleared his throat.

"Her elder brother is here Mallam. Ka jira a shafa Fatiha."

"Yes boss." he said.

We were about to leave when I deliberately stomped on Ibrahim's foot.

"Ouchhh! What was that for?"

"Nothing. Just felt like." I said chuckling.

Did he think I was letting him off the hook that easily?

I noticed we were about to pass the ice cream place when I stopped.

They both stared at me.

"A certain somebody promised me ice cream oooo?"

"God! Hanan? You're just unbelievable." Ya Ahmad said laughing.

"I'll like the chocolate flavour and Toblerone toppings if you don't mind."
