The first thing I did after we came back home was to lock myself in my room.... Escaping from the rest of the world. Hiding on my own little world just like before.

My parents and siblings continuously knocking the door but I won't let them in. I even escape the dinner as I don't feel hungry, I don't even have an appetite right now.

I curl myself in a ball in the corner of the room and my thoughts drifting away and came to the 'past' me. Just like before, I disappointed my parents and siblings. I am really a useless daughter. I am not a genius just like what they deserve to have in a child.

I am sorry, your daughter is a trash.

I heard a melodic voice from somewhere. It sounds too small yet I heard it loud and clear enough for me to understand.

When I raised my head, I saw in front of me a golden ice blue glittering light that floats in the air. I tried to adjust my eyesight as my room was dark before then I saw that this light was not something else, the light came from the body of a small person. The pixie.

She's a pretty yet innocent small face, a very beautiful eyes and a short yet silky ice blue hair. She has silver wings but looks light blue in the right angle. She wears a pretty dress and she don't wear any shoe except a bleu vine like sandals. She glitters like a beautiful sapphire, dazzling yet bright at the same time. Her astonishing looks blinded a person.

So, this was like a pixie when they are full of vitality.

I wipe my tears and smiled at her.

"You're awake now. Thank goodness"

I didn't question her why and how she wakes up, all I know is I am happy that I saw her and she looks fine unlike when I saw her yesterday. I even forgot the things that happened today because I was happy to discovered that this little pixie was awake and far from death.

She nodded at me, and energetically thanking me for saving her. If someone heard us, they'll be dumbstruck as we can normally communicate with each other, not like was what supposed to be. Pixie is different to fairies. To differentiate the two, only fairies know the human language and pixies voice sounded like a twinkling of a bell in human or other race ears. Human supposed to be can't understand the language of pixie but I understand her quite well.

"You don't need to thank me. Saving a life of a person is important and you, even you're a pixie, you are important as well. Life is important, so you don't need to thank me" I smile at her.

[Lily is not an ungrateful person, so, Lily should thank her benefactor] then she stop talking and look shocks when she thought something, [Benefactor can understand Lily?]

"Yeah? I think I can understand you well enough, why?"

[Humans can't understand pixie. Humans should be a dumb creature who doesn't know pixie's great language. Maybe benefactor is special, so benefactor can understand Lily]

I cough at her when she said that humans are 'dumb creature'. Wow! What a great description for humans, huh.

But yes, I now noticed that I can understand her language and I don't know why... but because I am someone who doesn't want to think in some small description, I just shrugged and asked her name.

[Yes, benefactor. Lily's name was Lily]

"Okay, Lily, can you stop calling me benefactor? And call me Celine instead" she nodded, then I stand up and make a proper curtsy just like a proper noble should be, "Hi Lily, I am Celine la Valkhyne. Eldest daughter and second child of Duke Cedric la Valkhyne and Duchess Emerald la Valkhyne. Let's be friends, okay?"

[Yes. Lily is Celine friend. Yehey! Lily likes Celine because Celine is nice. Is Celine like Lily?]

"Yes, of course I like Lily"

Lily started dancing in the air and her lights started to twinkling like a beautiful firefly. Her glows change from blue to gold, so stunningly beautiful.

So pretty.

[Benefac—Celine, why are Celine sad?]

When Lily asked me this question, I remembered my poor assessment this morning and I look unhappy. My depressing mood was felt by Lily and she panicked.

[Celine don't be sad. Lily is Celine friend and Lily is here for Celine. Don't be sad, okay?]

I gave her a small smile.

How can I be sad if I knew I am a trash? and maybe because of Lily's melodic and soothing voice, I started to tell her the result of my awakening.

She frowned, tilted her head and said, [Celine is surrounded by this beautiful and colorful lights, and humans call it mana]

"huh?"

[Can't Celine see them?] then she touch something that I can't see nor feel

I shook my head, "No. I can't see"

[Celine focus] she said in serious tone.

"How?"

[Close Celine's eyes and feel the surrounding]

I did what she said and started to feel my surrounding.

That's when I saw something even my eyes was closed.

There was a light in different shape, size and color around me... It flickers like a Christmas lights. It's beautiful and when I tried to touch it, I can feel different feeling from them. Some are hot, some are cold, some are feltless but all of them, you can feel the power beyond human understanding. It is so amazing. When I tried to open my eyes, I see nothing but when I closed my eyes, I can see them dancing around me.

Lily told me on how to absorb the mana.

As far as I know, there is no such thing as 'absorb the mana'. The mana capacity of a human is based only on how long and strong a person's stamina to create a magic spell... but it was different from Lily's point of view.

This secret is only passed by in Fae race, passed down by their ancestor, the fairy princess who creates the Ygdrassil Tree. She told me this secret because she felt kinship towards me just like how I felt towards her. She trusts me and I felt grateful because of this trust.

The mana capacity of an individual are stretchable. As long as you can manage to absorb and make it as your own, your mana capacity will expand. There is no such thing as percent of mana capacity just like how human interpret it. This make me think why humans are the weakest among the races.

She told me to absorb the mana on my meridian and tried to comprehend the mana energy before I absorb them in my dantian [a/n: hahaha a bit c-novel, lols]

She told me to continue this process. Cultivating the mana to create a base mana energy in my dantian before she can teach me on magic.

I stayed in lotus flower seat overnight and comprehend the way of absorbing mana as Lily said.

When I open my eyes, it's already morning. My body is soak with black sweat like my awakening but darker and it smell gross.

I saw Lily sleeping beside me but when she felt that I was awake, she open her eyes and yawn.

She looks at me and nodded before she said, [take a bath. You stink]

I pout at her before I went to bathroom to do my business
