“Welcome my dear students to Ygdrassyl Magical Academy!” I heard the old man wearing a white and golden robe. He’s leading the rest of the YMA staff so I assume that if he is not the principal then he might have a highest authority inside. “As you all know, before you become a real student of YMA you need to pass all three exams according to your own magical path and choices”
The old man with long beard sway whenever he open his mouth as his hawk like gaze look around us. “Every young magical children like yours have his or her own free will to choose what magical path he will choose and study. As you learnt about your awakening at the age of six, you will start to learn how to manipulate mana and what kind of path your body physique is. Either you’re mana categories as physical force or magical force”
We nodded in agreement after he said those sentence. I look at my friends especially at their reactions and giggle at them.
Dianne put her arms on her waist as she frowned at my reactions. She whispered-yell at me, “what’s so funny? “
I fan my hands in my face as I tried to calm and compose myself. “nothing”
“It is obviously not a nothing like what you just said. Spill it girl”
“Well, you guys has a funny expression. The dumb Michelle looks like she’s going to drool at any time. Obviously being lazy and wanted to sleep. Tanya and Celine both look serious yet always look at each other as if talking using their eyes. Coleen is like crying anytime since she doesn’t understand the teachers words and you and your wide mouth is so open big that anytime, a moth will want to enter”
She rolled her eyes and raised her left brow as she crossed her arms. “obviously because we are excited to learn more about this “mana” and other things. Duh!”
“hmmph!”
“Since you’re awakenings, the council will check what physique you are as you slowly develop this power of yours. Now, it is time for you to take the next level to develop your own physique and power but it will only happens if you guys pass the exam. The three exams to enter the YMA and study for whole six years” His hawk like eyes once again look around us and when he saw our expression and obviously satisfied with it, he nodded then told us a few instructions, encouragement and such then allow us to fall in line for the registration.
Tanya and Michelle left us after they lead us to the registration area as they were not allowed to stay with us anymore.
I was nervous whenever I think about the exams and too many ‘what ifs’ running inside my head. Maybe Celine saw my nervousness as she put her hand in my shoulder and gently smile at me. There is no word of comfort or anything she says yet the warm smiles she gave is enough to calm my agitated heart. This is the kind of person she is.
She does not need to say any words because her presence and warm smiles alone is more than enough .
