Zayn: “Yeah, I’ve got a bunch of customers, babe,” you tell your manager who is trying to talk to you behind the counter. You turn around and take the next three customers orders and are making the third one before you see a dark skinned boy sitting in a booth with a hoodie over his head. “Marlene, will you take the register for me, please?” Your manager takes over the register and then you walk to the boy sitting down. “Sir,” you start, trying to coax him to look at you. When he does, you recognize him immediately, “Zayn?! Babe, what’re you doing here?” You take your lunch break a little earlier than normal just so you and your boyfriend of six months can talk.
Louis: “Hey babe!” your boyfriend calls from the entrance of the women’s clothing shop. You look around in fear, hoping a fan hasn’t spotted him or recognized his voice. “Lou,” you whisper, gesturing for him to walk over to you. He kisses you quickly before turning to your coworker, “Hi, love.” She nods her head in recognition before returning to hanging up clothes. “Lou, what’re you doing here?” You ask with a hand on your hip. “You act like you’re not happy to see me, babe.” He says with a pouty face. You roll your eyes and he pulls you into a tight hug. You whisper into his ear, “I’m always happy to see you.”
Niall: You look up from shelving your books in the library where you work in the summer to see a collection of people standing in the check out line. You rush over and help them out as fast as you can. The last person in the line was a blonde haired, blue eyes boy with a cheeky smile on his face and a bag of Nando’s in his hand. “Niall James Horan!” you exclaim, but walk out from behind the counter anyways and hug him tightly. “Your lunch break is in ten minutes, right?” he asks with a twinkle in his eyes. You nod and he starts walking around the library, signing autographs for the few die hard fans that recognize him. Ten minutes later the two of you sit down to lukewarm chicken and a great conversation.
Liam: You see your boyfriend of ten months walk into the coffee shop as your making up an order for a gentleman who seems to be in a bit of a hurry. You anxiously bite your lip but contain your excitement. He’s wearing your favorite cologne – you could smell it from a mile away. He’s also wearing the necklace you bought him for your six month anniversary as well. Suddenly you go to pick up the coffee cup and your fingers slip and it drops onto your white work polo. Liam jerks forward but holds himself back, putting his hood further over his head. The gentleman starts yelling at you and you shrink away, not sure how to handle the situation. Liam jumps forward and puts a finger in the man’s face. “You look here, sir, she’s trying her hardest. Just let her be.” The man walks out of the coffee shop, mumbling under his breath. Liam meets you in the back and gives you a protective kiss on the forehead, trying to reassure you that you did nothing wrong.
Harry: “Thanks, Ellie, I won’t take long!” you shout as you sit down to your BLT sandwich during your lunch break. You take a large bite and you see a figure sit down in front of you. You slowly look up and your eyes light up when you see its Harry, current boyfriend of three months. You smile and he leans across the table and kisses your nose. “Just finish your lunch, love,” he starts when he sees you wanting to talk, but bacon and lettuce and tomato fill your mouth. “I’m just here to see you. I’ve got all day.” You smile sheepishly before finishing your sandwich and going over your allotted lunch break time by twenty minutes.
