A sudden howl pierces the air, making me sit up quickly on the bed, waking me from my sleep. Chills racked through my body while goosebumps were risen on my skin. The hair was standing up and the back of my next, making me stand at alert. Something was wrong.

Sliding my legs off the bed, I quickly grabbed an oversized shirt, just in case I needed to shift. My injuries still aches and my muscles were stiff, I was moving a bit slower than I usually did. I don't even remember how I got into my room last night, let alone laid on the bed. A faint, stale scent of line lingered around my room, putting the pieces of my puzzle together. I just can't comprehend how he keeps doing this. How he keeping coming into my room and moving me undetected by me. I am not a heavy sleeper in the slightest so this just completely baffles me.

Several more howls filled the air as I made my way out of the pack house. Several men and women were leaving their rooms as well. Some were ushering kids into a door I never noticed before. Something was definitely wrong.

I felt a small pressure in my mind, trying to push through my mind barrier but I pushed against it, I didn't want anyone in my head. Following the others outside, we shifted into our wolves and headed towards the Eastern part of the territory. As we grew closer, I heard the sound of growls and the smell of rotting flesh and garbage filled my nose. My muscles tensed and my blood ran cold as I picked up familiar scents. They found me, they found me once again.

The scene in front of me was awful. As the trees cleared and started to spread out, we came to an open field. At least forty rouges were across the field from us. Their fur was sparse and thin, foam was dripping from their mouths and their eyes were gleaming.

I could make out Alpha standing a few feet ahead of us. He was directly in between us and the rouges wearing only a pair of basketball shorts. Bodies already littered the ground and I had a guy feeling that they wouldn't be the last.

"I suggest that you all leave my land." Alpha's voice echoed off the trees, full of dominance and anger. Leaves began to crunch under someone's' feet as they walked forward. Two rogues parted as a man walked between them and I immediately froze. It was him. A scar now adorned his cheek but he still had his greasy blonde hair, scrutinizing glare and permanent scowl. Alpha must have sensed something wrong because he turned his head to the side, made eye contact with me, and then turned back to my tormentor.

"We will, if you give us something we want." Gordon. Smirked and looked directly at me. He knew I was here. Alpha picked up on this and moved in front of his line of sight, blocking Gordon's view of me.

"I'm not up for any type negotiation. Either you get of my territory or we will make you." The wolves beside me snarled in agreement, swishing their tails back and forth, agreeing with their Alpha that they will protect their land.

"Oh but Alpha." He sneers with a mocking tone. "She's standing right behind you."I could feel everyone's eyes turn to me and pressure built in my chests. "Just hand her over and then we'll leave. No harm will be done and we will leave." My stomach and throat burned as bile began to creep up my throat.

"Like I said before, I am not up for negotiation. She will be staying with me and you will be leaving, one way or another." He growled with a tone signaling that what he said was final.

"You asked for it.." Gordon then shifted and his followers ran forward. The warriors next to me sprang forward go meet the rouges in the middle. I stayed a little behind, watching Alpha's back, giving him time to shift in case he was attacked mid-shift. Once he was done, his green eyes met mine and he nodded towards me in thanks before tackling a wolf standing near him.

My reactions were a bit delayed and my attacks were slower but I managed to take a few down. I scanned the open area, there were only a few of them left now, maybe ten. A black mound of fur then leaped over my body, tackling a brown wolf to the ground and quickly ripping out its throat. I didn't even hear it or see it. I wouldn't have seen it coming until it was too late. I tentatively moved towards him and rubbed against his neck in thanks.

The rest of the rouges accepted defeat and tried to run back across the border, our warriors chasing them the whole way to the border. I felt weak, I felt like crying. After years and years of running and hiding, I failed. I failed because I found my mate and felt obligated to stay. I failed because I have now brought harm to his pack because I stayed.

Alpha gently rubbed his body up against mine as he moved to stand next to me. He dipped his face to rub up against my neck, similar to what I had done to him. He let out a quiet whine in my ear, almost as he sensed my nerves and he wanted to comfort me. His scent filled my nose, making my muscles relax. I leaned against him as I took in his warmth and comfort. He protected me.

A dirty blonde wolf jumped in front of us out of nowhere, making me take a defensive stance. Orion took a few steps forward and turned to that he was blocking me from the threat. The wolf then began to shake and spasm as he changed back. Gordon now stood in front of us, covered in blood and completely naked. Orion growled and crouched lower to the ground as Gordon took a step forward. He pointed at me and said this before running towards the border.

"I will be back. This isn't over."

Awwwww isn't that cute? Orion and Malia are getting closer and Malia is starting to realize that Orion won't hurt it. Drama is starting to form (:
