My feet pushed against the ground as I ran after Deidara-sama and Tobi. To my displeasure, both of them left me behind when I passed out due to a fever. I could not say that I was OK with that action, I was rather upset. But that was not the main problem currently; I wish it was. The reason I was sprinting was not only because I wanted to catch up, but because I heard multiple explosions in the far distance. They sounded muffled and barely audible, but I was sure that they belonged to my Boss. My fever did not seem to get any better for my panting reached dangerous levels and my lungs felt on fire, but that was not good enough of a reason to stop.

I felt a cool drop splatter on my heated cheek. Rain was starting, clouds slowly slowly swirling over my head. If I move fast enough, I will outrun this storm and arrive at the place where the explosions sounded a few minutes prior to the dark coulds. I coughed in my hand as the raindrops freckled my bare skin, my running now making a splashing sound.

I had arrived, and, from the look of it, things were not going in the best way possible. The scent of must and burnt powder filled the air, mixing in with the damp smell of upcoming rain that I managed to surpass. Carefully observing the area, I saw blonde hair out of the corner of my eye. It looked ragged and messy. Taking a closer look, my heart stopped. Deidara and, who I could only pinpoint as Sasuke, Itachi's brother, was standing a few steps away from him. Based on Deidara's state, this was a life and death situation, and I would do whatever to help my Boss. But it would be unwise to barge into battle in alone.

I stumbled back and ran around the perimeter of the area in search of Tobi. Sure, I did not know how powerful he was, but he was a member of the Akatsuki, meaning that he could do more than he let on.

A booming crack of thunder broke through the thick, grey clouds as I felt my strength leave me. My jogging became messy and irregular as I reached a stream of water. My feet felt refreshed after I strode into the small river. My knees collided with the liquid as I fell down, using my hand to roll over on my back so I would not chocke on the water. I felt the cold fluid seep through my hair and clothing as my eyes began to shut. I ran, so fast... but I was not good enough. The cool wind ruffled my hair as I lost the last of my senses.

The black cloak fluttered with the wind.

Tobi's POV

I looked down on the woman who was with Deidara. (Y/N), they call her. I would call her dangerous, however. She gave out hits of knowing the things no man but me should know; it would be good to eliminate her now, everyone would think she died by falling in the water if I simply turned her over. I bent down to be more level with the woman; to pay her respect, she was slightly more tolerable than the Akatsuki, although that was probably because I did not interract with her much. My gloved hand pulled y/n's shoulder to flip her body, but I was stopped by no one but myself midway. Her hand seemed to grip onto my wrist and I slid back into character.

"Aaaaah! (Y/N) - san! I th-"

She's still...

"...unconscious?"

(Y/N)'s fingers loosely held onto my wrist as a blush, due to high temperature, burned her face. Forgetting my environment, I took the time to observe the girl. She had long/short, (H/C) hair that looked like silk in the water, red lips that shined due to the fever, and long, dark/light eyelashes. I surprised myself as I noticed how seconds passed in silence. Her hand still hung around mine, but I did not bother to remove it. It would slide off when I stood back up, anyway. My hair was now getting damp from the rain and I knew I should put an end to this ridiculous encounter.

Before I could do anything, a type of wave passed through my body, it was not a good wave. Birds and animals around me seemed to startle and run in a similar direction. That could mean several things, but the most probable one was that Deidara activated the bomb that would end his existence. I stood up, letting (Y/N) flop back on her back, she would disintegrate in the explosion, no need to kill her myself. I heard a crack from Deidara's direction. It was time to leave.
