i hesitated to call my mom—
i was way too nervous, since i haven't spoken to her in over ten months.

what would i say?

i felt uneasy to call her for some reason, i kept on thinking what i would say to her.

the phone ringed as i waited for her to pick up.

"ne yeoboseyo?" i heard coming from the other line.

"e-eomma?" i said sounding a bit shaky.

"y/n is that you?" her tone instantly changed.

"yes, hello mom."

"hi honey oh my gosh it has been such a long time since i've heard your voice, i've missed you so much."

i felt the same as i haven't heard my mother's voice in a while.

"how's everything?, how's school?, how's taehyung?"

she started attacking me with questions as i answered them in the simplest way.

"i'm doing fine so is taehyung, school is fine as well, and so is everything here" i replied.

"ah that's good." she said.

she paused for a while until lowering her tone lyre seriously.

"i am so sorry i haven't been able to visit or talk with you, i have been really busy with work for a while now barely having sleep or time to myself."

i told her it was ok as i was also busy with school and stuff too.

there was a short silence afterwards before she spoke again.

"so how come you called?" she asked.

i immediately remembered that i called about us visiting.

"oh yeah...so we're going to come visit you guys in tokyo since taehyung's parents gifted us tickets to visit for our anniversary." i stated sounding excited.

"oh really? that's so nice, when are you guys coming?"

"well we are going to arrive on the 4th and leave on the 7th, i was hoping to visit on the 5th or the 6th, which ever day would work out best." i said sounding a bit excited.

i heard her hum in an understandable tone, before she replied with—

"i think the 5th would work best for you guys to come visit, you guys can come for dinner." she said

"oh ok, yeah that works" i said.

we talked a little bit more that night catching up on some things.

i hung up around eleven since it was getting late.

i went down stairs to make myself some tea before heading off to bed—
i was surprised to see taehyung still up considering the fact he goes to bed early.

i went over to the boiler and filled it up with some water.

"i am surprised you still up" i said to taehyung who was pouring himself milk in a mug.

"i couldn't sleep." he said in a tired groggy voice.

i nodded.

"what's with the milk?" i asked.

"they said it helps to sleep if you drink warm milk."

i nodded again as i went to grab a mug and a tea bag.

after i finished we sat down across from each other at the table.

"so i heard your talk with your mom about visiting on the 5th"

"yeah...wait, did you eavesdrop on our whole conversation?" i asked kind of irritated.

"no you were just loud." he said while smirking.

i scoffed as i sipped my tea a bit.

"no, that's when i got up to walk downstairs, i just happened to hear that part while passing you room."

"oh..." i  said while i nodded.

he then spoke again "do i have to go?" he asked.

"yes"

"why?" he said annoyed.

i rolled my eyes while replying

"cause your parents wants us to go together and take pictures or whatever couples like to do or whatever"

he sighed very annoyed.

"you can't just not go?" he asked.

i got up putting my mug in the sink.

"taehyung i already planned this out with my parents, we have to both go." i said before walking back upstairs.

i heard Taehyung mumble something to himself, sounding very annoyed.

"plus you said you were going to visit a friend."

"yeah...i guess"

i went to wash my face and brush my teeth and put on my pajamas before heading off to sleep.

i could hear Taehyung walking up the stairs very upset, it was quiet for a few seconds before i heard his door slam closed.

"tsk this brat."
