Tying Trouble (Part 3)

King Quincy said as the pancakes landed on them, "I wanted breakfast, but not this quickly."

Queen Essence shouted to Gristle, "Are you alright?"

Gristle just laid there groaning.

Poppy asked, "Gristle, what was that?"

Gristle pitifully asked, "What was what?"

Barb said, "Come on, dude. Don't act like we don't know."

Gristle then started to come clean, "Well, you see, I...I..."

Poppy said, "Yes?"

"I...I..."

They all went, "Yes? Yes?"

Gristle just continued stuttering, "I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-"

Barb shouted, "Out with it, man!"

Gristle then finished, "I forgot how to tie my shoes."

Poppy chuckled and asked, "That's it?"

Gristle then asked her, "So, you'll teach me?"

But, Poppy answered, "Uh...I don't wear shoes."

Gristle then got all frantic, "Trollex, could you show me how to tie my shoes?"

Trollex pointed down, "Uh...fins?"

"Delta?"

"Hooves."

"Barb?"

"Same as Pop Squeak; Don't wear shoes."

"Anybody here?!"

They all sadly shook their heads no.

Gristle then got really panicky, "What am I gonna do?!"

Poppy said, "Ok, just relax. Maybe Bridget knows how to do it?"

Gristle replied, "But, I need to know this to show her."

Just then, Bridget came in with her new shoes tied, "Grissie, I just had a wonderful day! Hey, everyone!"

"Hey, Bridget!"

Poppy said, "Wow, Bridget, your new shoes look great!"

Bridget replied, "Thanks. The tailor showed me how to tie them."

She then noticed Gristle's untied shoes, "Grissie, you still don't have your tied?"

He looked over at Poppy, who gestured him to tell her the truth.

He sighed and said, "Bridgie, I wish it was me who taught you, but the truth is...I've forgotten how. I've always had someone do it for me."

Bridget replied, "Oh...that's ok. I'll show you."

Gristle was surprised, "Wait, you're not upset?"

Bridget asked, "Why would I be?"

Gristle answered, "I know how much you like a man. But, I was afraid of how you would react if you found out about how I can't tie my shoes."

Bridget gave him a smile, "Gristle, it doesn't matter what you do or don't know how to do. You'll always be the man I love."

The Trolls went, "Awww!"

But, Barb slightly gagged.

Bridget let him watch her tie them.

Gristle said, "Thanks, babe. I promise not to hide something like this again."

Bridget said, "No problem. So...ready for that date?"

They both took each other's hands and walked out of the castle.

When they left, Barb asked, "So...what now?"

Trollex said, "Well, I guess this visit's over."

So, the leaders decided to go home.

When they got to Pop Village, they were surprised at what they discovered.

Everyone wasn't moving.

Barb asked, "Uh...what's going on?"

Poppy saw Peppy, "Dad!"

She tried to move him, but to no avail.

Trollex went to DJ, "DJ?"

Nothing.

Trollzart asked, "What's happened? It's like they've all been...frozen solid."

They were left wondering what to do.
