Frankie Hopper had everything she wanted until the universe (in her opinion) decided she didn't deserve happiness. She went from living the most normal life with her parents, Jim and Diane and her sister Sara, to moving with her father to Indiana, in a small town called Hawkins after her sister's passing due to cancer and her mother walking out.
At almost 16, after an accidental overdose, Frankie left the town after being admitted to a rehabilitation center. Upon her return a year later, she didn't expect to find her father had moved to the middle of the woods, her great grandfather's cabin surrounded by traps, trying to protect a girl with telekinetic abilities.
Oh, and intergalactic dogs roaming an alternate reality right underneath Hawkins.
