【A L V I N】

"Holy shit, this is actually really good," I noted after taking a bite out of the slice of pizza I was holding. Antonio let out a quiet hum of agreement, "Right? I can't believe I hid my pineapple pizza obsession from all of you for so long."

"Hm," Rowan began - and all of us turned to them in anticipation for their reaction. They took another experimental bite out of the slice before clicking their tongue against the roof of their mouth and cracking an inconclusive smile. "It's alright. I'd have to get used to the taste for sure, but it's not as bad as I imagined it would be."

"And that's why you always test something out before hating on it," Antonio preached, crossing his arms. "I can't believe you shamed me for something I truly enjoy."

"Stop acting like they ate your mom," Margot snorted, rolling her eyes.

"Okay The Little Mermaid," he scoffed in response, hinting at her once dark hair which she had dyed a bright red colour, the result of a harsh break-up she'd been through. "When are you going to bring Alfredo with you here?"

"Alfredo? Like the sauce?" Lucien questioned.

"That's exactly what I said the first time I heard his name! Give me a five!" Antonio squealed - and the rest of us watched in silence as they shared a high-five.

"Not the sauce," Margot snorted.

"He's our boyfriend," Delilah explained, motioning towards Margot and herself. "He says he prefers staying at home but I'll try to get him to come over sometime. Maybe for his birthday?"

"His birthday has already gone by, we'll have to wait another year," Antonio scoffed to which Delilah and Margot responded with a nonchalant shrug before sharing a sly grin amongst themselves.

"Speaking of birthdays," Rowan began, leaning forward. "Lucien, when's your birthday?"

"Mine? Oh, it's actually in a week," he said with an embarrassed chuckle, scratching the back of his neck.

"A week?!" Delilah gasped. "Holy shit, are you going to throw a party?"

"Not really, I wouldn't know who to invite," he confessed. "Plus, even if I did, they'd totally trash my home or steal something out of my bottle collection."

"You care about your collection more than your own happiness?" Antonio gasped. "And that's on being selfless."

"My collection brings me happiness," Lucien stated with a smug grin. "But I guess it would be nice to throw a party of some sort. Just not at my place, you know?"

"So if it were Alvin's place you'd be fine with it, right?" Rowan questioned with a raised brow.

"Only if that's fine with Alvin, still, I wouldn't know who to invite," Lucien responded, glancing over at me for a brief moment. "Anyway, Alv, may I use the washroom?"

"He said 'may'," Antonio gasped. "Is this a result of your teachers traumatizing you?"

"Maybe," he responded with a shrug.

"Alright, follow me," I began before standing up and dusting myself off. He mimicked my actions and I stepped out of my bedroom before leading the way down the hall and over to the washroom. When we got there, I pushed the door open for him, "Be careful, there might be roaches."

"You think they'd scare me?" he said with a quiet chuckle. "If anything, they should be the ones to be afraid."

"Oh, I'm sure," I said with a small grin. "The ones you've killed were relatively small, the washroom's the real deal. You could probably find one the size of your palm in here. And worse, they fly as well."

"Not scary," he shrugged as if it were nothing.

"How on Earth?" I began, my mouth agape. "You're not human. After you're done with your business, you better teach me how to kill those damn things."

He shook his head and let out a barely audible laugh, resulting in the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes making their presence known. "You're cute," he stated before making his way into the washroom  and shutting the door, not giving me the chance to respond.

"Damn right I am," I huffed before making my way back into my bedroom whilst whistling to myself.

"Finally you're back!" Rowan cheered when I got there, pulling me down and making me sit beside them. "We've got a plan."

"It's-" Margot began before I interrupted.

"You want to throw a party for Lucien at my place and you guys are going to bake and all that and invite a couple of your other friends as well so he can have the time of his life," I guessed to which I simply earned unimpressed glares.

"Way to ruin the surprise," Delilah huffed with a pout.

"How did you figure that out?" Antonio gasped, an impressed expression on his face.

"I'm smart," I said with a wink. "Anyway, I'm totally fine with hosting it at my place. But, you do realize we only have a week to plan it out right?"

"Right, and what about it?" Rowan fired back. "There's five of us, we'll have it in the bag in no time."

"Who's bringing the cake?" Antonio questioned, raising his brows.

"We'll do it," Margot offered, pulling Delilah to her side. "You guys can make the list of people that you're going to be inviting."

"Okay, and I'll help Alvin out with decorating the place as well. Anything else?" Rowan questioned, tilting their head.

"Gifts," I reminded. "Each one of us will have to bring gifts for him, don't be selfish, alright? Last time you guys showed up to my party and ended up forgetting that it was even a birthday party, plus you only came for the food."

"Okay, hater," Antonio scoffed. "Not our fault the food was bomb."

"What about the music?" Delilah questioned. "Can I plan that part out? I have good taste."

"Sure, as long as it isn't some cheap happy birthday song," Rowan shrugged. "Do we need a theme?"

"There's already a theme," Antonio stated.

"And that is?" I urged with a raised brow.

"Birthday, duh," he responded with a proud grin as if he'd achieved world peace.

"Someone stop this man from talking," Margot complained before the sound of the door opening interrupted all of us and in came Lucien. He took his seat beside me this time and shot me a quick grin which I returned.

"Did I miss anything?" he questioned, running his fingers through his hair whilst letting his gaze travel between all of us.

"We were talking about cockroaches," Antonio blurted out.

"Cockroach?! Where?!" I screeched, already ready to get the fuck out of there.

"Holy shit, someone stop this man from talking as well," Margot said with an exasperated sigh.
