He'd reached for her. He tried. He swore he did, but the effort was all in vain as the female continued to slide out of his grasp.

The rocks were far too slippery for him to step on- Yet, he risked it. He placed his foot upon the wet surface, ignoring the fact that he might fall into the rushing currents.

Yet, it was no use.

Her arm eventually left his grasp. He wanted to shout her name, but no sound would come out of his mouth.

She disappeared into the stream as he stood there, helplessly, watching her die.

He felt an overwhelming sense of dread. God, this all felt so real. It couldn't be. He mustn't let it be.

But could he prevent it?

After all, even if it was just a "dream," He couldn't save her.

No, this wasn't a mere dream- It was a precognition.
