The Cullen Home- Forks, Washington

It was the last day I would be home before I left for Volterra that night. I was banished to my room to ensure that I was not forgetting to pack anything while my mom made the family help set up my going-away party. Luckily, Edward thought ahead and had picked up Isabella early so she could hang out with me while the others get ready for the party. Currently we were sitting on my couch with a blanket spread over our laps, our legs folded underneath of us as we lean against the armrests of the couch.

"So, are you nervous?" Isabella asks me, biting her lip as she plays with a hangnail on her thumb.

I shrug while focusing on my knitting project I had started in order to get my mind off of my anxieties.

"Well, I'm going to an unfamiliar country with unfamiliar people and have no idea when I'm going to see my family again, along with the fact that I'm freaking out over having supernatural royalty as mates, and have absolutely no clue how to act. But other than that, I'm just peachy. I shoot her a weary grin.

She chuckles, throwing one of the balls of yarn I had settled on her lap at my face, causing me to giggle before we settle back down again.

"How overboard do you think Alice is going?" Isabella asks me, amusement twinkling in her eyes, only because she would not be the focus of attention.
