dream, sapnap, and george had left a little over an hour ago, you guessed, to retrieve the disc that they were promised and oust the l'manbergians from their land, leaving you alone and locked securely in your room. before they had left at noon, dream had came and tried to talk to you and uphold and normal conversation, but you ignored him as usually, leaving him disappointed.

you were now wondering if you could smash the window and escape out that way. honestly, that was a good idea on your part. you wouldn't be able to smash the window with your arm. you would completely injure it. you scanned your room.

were you really going to go through with this plan? dream and everyone else was making such a big effort to befriend you. but you hated this land with a burning passion, and everyone that lived on it. the only things in the room you could probably pick up were the chair, beanbag, lamp, and the rug. the chair would be the best option.

dream
(around 25 minutes ago or so)

"okay, i'll do this for l'manberg.." tommy sighed as dream watched him carefully, hid green eyes narrowed beneath his mask. "i'll give you both of the discs if you let us have independence and y/n." tommy, who had lived just like dream said he would, had asked to speak to dream in private, and now his was proposing this. "wait-" dream had begun to speak. "cat and mellohi." the masked man stood in silence for a moment. "that is a very, very interesting deal." dream hummed as he thought. "that is very selfless of you. those are your discs!" he had much respect for tommy. he was doing so much for his nation, despite being the youngest. "for the- for l'manberg, y'know. for wilbur. for tubbo. for y/n." it seemed like tommy had thought long and hard over this idea. "not for eret! ...the two discs from our war. from our war dream." dream recalled the war he, tubbo, and tommy had had over these discs. sapnap had joined in for a little while, too. (im pretty sure, i dont exactly remember) dream stayed silent as he thought about this proposal. it would make y/n happy, but they would also lose a bunch of dream smp member. "i'll grant you technical independence for both discs, which means that there will be no war, but we still consider that you are a part of.." how should he word this? "l'manberg, it- it won't be destroyed, and we won't fight you, unless, unless, we have a really good reason to." yeah, that was good. "yeah, well that's just you being deluded." he heard tommy mumbled to himself, but didn't take any notice to it. "we will not enter your grounds unless we're allowed, since your embassy is in our land we will allow you there, and we will- " "you'll respect us. yeah, yeah, just independence, man. just independence and y/n." tommy hadn't forgotten about
his friend. that wasn't exactly what dream was going to say, but he let tommy have his moment. "you will get independence for l'manberg, yes, but not y/n. she will remain a permanent member of the dream smp starting today. period." dream added. other than y/n being a potentially valuable member of his team and that she could be used to get free stuff, he didn't have a reason for wanting to keep her with him.

"a-are you fucking with me right now?" tommy's outburst had pulled dream out of his thoughts. "no." dream summoned his sword in case tommy got out of hand, the teen standing before him doing the same. "i am giving you both discs that you wanted soo badly, and you still won't let
y/n go?!" tommy had missed his friend. "do you want l'manberg's independence or not? because i'm thinking of changing my mind." dream watched as tommy forced himself to calm down and lower his weapons
"...the discs for l'manberg."

l'manberg

tommy returned to l'manberg after handing over his beloved discs over to him. everyone welcomed him into wilbur's place, which had been left untouched along with y/n's house and tubbo's small hut. tommy entered the crowded room, his head down. "tommy what- what was your negotiation?" wilbur asked, everyone staring at tommy in anticipation. "wilbur, i-i  secured our independence." tommy didn't seem as happy as he should have been. wilbur, fundy, and tubbo couldn't be the same. they all gasped, and their faces lit up for the first time in the last couple days of war. "you- you've what?!" wilbur asked, along with fundy's "what?" and tubbo's unconvinced-sounding "how?"
"how? what did you do? tommy, what did you do?"
"elaborate."
"i gave him the discs, will. i gave him the discs."
tommy quickly said. after he had handed dream the discs, dream had politely said "good day!" and left. "you gave up your discs?!" wilbur asked loudly. "all of them?" fundy questioned in disbelief. "all of them... yeah.."
"MY RIGHT HAND MAN, TOMMY INNIT!" wilbur was ecstatic, and the other two quickly caught onto his energy. "WHAT THE-"
"we aren't getting y/n back."
"what?"
"dream made it very clear to me that we aren't getting her back."
the room went dead silent. "what? why?" tubbo was upset about this. just like tommy, he missed his friend and hadn't forgotten about her. "he didn't say. he said that starting today, y/n was a permanent member of the dream smp." you could hear a pin drop. were those... crickets? "tha- that fucker." wilbur cursed. "we will save her soon. we must think of a plan, but for now, tommy innit, get over here!" wilbur was trying to lighten the mood and pulled tommy towards him, hugging him. tommy didn't return the gesture, but let it happen.

"you have the declaration of independance, yeah?" he knew that tommy or fundy had it with them. tubbo and fundy were also trying to be excited about their new independence and were chatting happily. "yeah, yeah." the book appeared in tommy's hand. he handed to wilbur, who grabbed a pen from a nearby table. wilbur then put the declaration of independance into a chest and pulled out a brand new and empty book.
"it doesn't matter that we don't own anything now, because we have what is so much greater than any physical item."
"freedom."
"freedom."
"liberty."
"liberty."
"the pursuit of victory."

tubbo stepped outside and gazed at the once beautiful, yet small, nation. he was examining the remains. everyone followed after him. "we'll build it better." wilbur reassured him, placing a hand on tubbo's shoulder. "we'll terraform. we'll fix what-" tommy, of course, needed to put in his impute. "we can expand as well." fundy nodded his head. "did you say we could expand?" wilbur wasn't listening to tommy at the time, and hadn't been paying attention to his interruption.

wilbur brought the empty book to his hand  and his pen to the other. "i'll keep this short and sweet, gentlemen. if only y/n could be here with us." wilbur started writing in the book and read out loud what he was publishing.

"as we gaze upon the swaths of redwood trees, the great hills to our south and the walls that have protected us for years. "
"i, as the now president of l'manberg- we're not democratic, i've elected myself."
wilbur quickly added. fundy added in a small "tch.".
"hereby state:
"YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SUCK IT, GREEN BOYY!"
wilbur quickly scribbled down as he yelled, earning laughs from the three gathered around him. "my right hand man, treasury of state, tommy innit, i want you to sign on the second page." tommy skimmed over what wilbur had written as the book was handed to him. he noticed he had also written "witnessed by dream, georgesomethingsomething, sapnap, and pun." and in small, in bracket letters, "and eret, fuck eret." he flipped to the second page and wrote his name, his handwriting much messier than wilbur's. next, the book went to tubbo, who wilbur declared the secretary of state, and then fundy, who hesitantly took the book. he knew what was coming. "and fundy." wilbur acted serious. "who's my little champion?" he kept speaking to fundy in the voice you'd speak to a baby in.

"will.. will my discs.. and y/n.." tommy whispered sadly to wilbur. "we've got independence, and i know this is incredible to everyone else, but for me, this is- this is bittersweet." the book was returned to the president, who read over the names and closed it. "well, we'll get both y/n and the discs back." he assured him. "but right now, we need y/n back. she'll come back to us. trust me." tubbo perked up. "oh, wait. i think i may have your discs in my enderchest." tommy eagerly turned to tubbo. "when we had the war with dream i picked it up and put it in my enderchest." tommy shook his head, not believing a word the boy said. "no... but i gave both of them to dream." tubbo and tommy started to go back and forth with the events that happened during that small war, with tubbo believing that he had the discs and tommy saying that he gave them both to dream. tubbo left to go enter wilbur's house, which had an enderchest in if. "yeah, i have it." tubbo called, holding up a black and lime coloured disc. "wait, wait, hand that over." once tommy got a brief look at the disc, he knew it wasn't his. his face showed his sadness and disappointment. "tubbo?" tommt started off quiet. "you IDIOT! this is- this is far! this is fundy's! mine are cat and mellohi!" tubbo just stared as tommy yelled at him. "heyyy... my disc!" fundy said quietly. tubbo quicjly hopped off the topic, saying they were both green and that cat and far looked too similar. "damn. this place is in shambles." tubbo pointed out the obvious, making tommy facepalm.  tommy apologized for yelling and told his friend he did great and many "good works."
