It had taken me a minute to process what was happening, until I burst out laughing.

The boy, who had actually been non-other that Benny turned around quickly with a questioning look on his face until he must've realised it was me.

"W-what are you doing hahaha??" By now my sides were hurting and I was doubled over

I looked back up at Benny who had a sad look on his face and I realised I mustve hurt his feelings by laughing

"I-im sorry, i didnt mean to hurt your feelings Benny, but what's going on?"

It was only now that I saw that the boys weren't here, it was just me and him

"Benny-?" I slowly question, I look around one more time before turning back to Benny, who had moved a good 3 feet and was right in front of me

"Ah- jEsus benny" kids like flash I swear

"Y/n." He let's out a hardy breath, I could tell he was nervous for whatever reason I was here

"Benny." I give him a questioning look

"Y/n I think your stupid cool."

"Ofcourse I am" I give him a smug smile

"But theres a few things that I wanted to tell you" he scratchers the back of his neck

"That doesnt sound good, but what is it?" I make eye contact with him

"I always feel bad for calling your landline so often" he kicks the dirt with the soul of his shoe

"Is that what this is about because theres no need to worry benny?"

"Well no Y/n I- I-.."

"Spit it out Benny!" I laugh

"HE WANTS TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND Y/N" Squints pops out from behind Mr. Mertles fence.

I turn to the boys with a confused smile

"THERES NO WAY GUYS" I yell with a chuckle

"OH IT IS SO TRUE, THAT DUDE WILL NOT STOP BLABBING ON AND ON ABOUT YOU" Denuez follows

My breath hitched as my face covers with blush, I turn my face back to benny who has a small smile on his face

"I didnt really know how to say it, because you really dont know me." he takes his baseball cap off and puts it on his chest

Oh god this is embarrassing

"You know I never could Benny..." I chuckle, with my brother this would break in a second

"But I feel something, you cant tell me you dont feel it too?" Benny looks me in the eyes with a loving smile

"My brother would never let this live out, it's better to stop while we're ahead" I return him with a sad smile.

"Good try though, goodnight boys" I turn my heel walking away, with tears brimming my eyes. I know that I'm head over heels for Benny but I cant risk anything with my brother.

I dont want to turn around, because I know it will just make me sadder.

Benny just stood there, with small tears running down his face, he didnt want to down the moods of the boys so he put on a smile and brushed his pants off

"So who wants to play baseball.....?" The sudden talk from benny had frightened them before giving him small and big smiles.

"YEAH"
