4. bruise violet (the whole chapter is a reference but here's unmentioned references) - courtney calls herself a rock n roll slut. there's an actual video of her calling herself a rock n roll slut. that just popped up in my mind while writing it. (then someone says "what u r is obnoxious.)
kurt also says, "i know ur right. everything u do is right." this line is from a babes in toyland song called bluebell. was listening to them while writing bruise violet also.

5. frenemies - dave says, "i'll meet you at the park. i'll be calm and collected." this is a reference to 'bury a friend' by billie eilish. i don't know why i included it, i just did lol.

7. new member (kind of a reference, but to nothing that popular) - i have an instagram account (cobainbathwater) where there's an inside joke that dave says his balls itch, hence the username 'itchyballs20.' also the 20 in itchyballs20 stands for february 20th, kurt's birthday.

8. barbie tingz - eh. also kind of not much of reference, but when dave says "it litterally says ur name," i was thinking of when edward centeno from the arcade craniacs said "it literally says 'you are sus.'"

9. hamood - kurt's username is a reference to frances bean's twitter username "alka_seltzer666." also they both had 666 in their username (kurt's old username kurdtkobain666.)

12. bean - when dave says, "man die slow," and, "my .44 make sure all ur kids won't grow," it's a reference to 'hit em up' by 2pac.

13. going down in the dms - when dave harasses krist about kurt being his boyfriend, he says, "stay away from my thang...!" that's another babes in toyland reference called 'he's my thing.'

17. poetic justice - poetic justice is when the antagonist is punished and the protagonist is awarded. not really a reference, just an explanation if you didn't get it. (courtney went to jail and kurt won't be bothered by her anymore.)

18. hell yeah, fuckin' right - the title is a drake song. also kurt says, "u better have that good kush." there's a song by lil wayne that features drake and the rapper future called 'love me.' future says "i'm on that good kush and alcohol." now that i'm typing it rn it sounds stupid oof. dave also says "hey baby hey baby hey." that is a lyric from the no doubt song 'hey baby.'
