We dont want to drink until we die
But sometimes we drink until we sleep
Others might wonder why
It's because of the secrets we keepAnd we don't really hate ourselves
We dont want to do us harm
But theres so much dust upon our shelves
That we're losing all our charmAnd we really all take care of us
We say as we blow out smoke
We're not trying to make a fuss
We mean the words we spokeAnd we really want to live
That's what we keep repeating
But time is all we have to give
We're sad our heart's still beating
