Unconsciously waiting to be done
As our last breath haunts
Why do we refuse to run
When we know exactly what it wants

Time isn't something that lingers
And while we get to another day
We let life slip through our fingers
By turning our heads the other way

Days, weeks, months and years
They all slowly fade away
Time goes by faster than it appears
We are to be unable to make it stay

Spending this long looking forward
Will eventually makes us blind
To the things we have ignored
And the memories we left behind
