I'm afraid of my own sleep
And the way my muscles tense
When I'm starting to count sheep
And the feeling gets intense

I'm afraid of my own sleep
Because when my minds takes over
There's no thought I get to keep
It will take them like a rover

I'm afraid of my own sleep
Because in my dreams I get to meet
Invading thoughts that get to creep
And rob my heart from its own beat

So I'm afraid of my own sleep
What if I dont wake up
Might get trapped in there so deep
That my heart decides to stop
