Serena

Elaine's friend gave me a dirty look as we sat down at the table, I didn't plan on staying out long was going to leave after we had eaten not only to just see Ken but so I could call my niece and see her, "Serena this is Beck she and I graduated together" I hold my hand out she shakes it "so what do you study?" Beck asks me

"Interior architect" I tell her, the blond hair was patchy making me want to punch her, Don't be like that Serena she may not be bad, "oh and what do you do for work?" I smile softly "I uh just work at Micheals I don't have a job for my degree, I'm looking for one at the moment"

"She seems ok" Beck looks at Elaine who narrows her eyes "when is Kay coming?"
"Uh she'll be here soon" Beck eyes me once more and I sigh looking at the menu soon Beck excuses herself to the restroom and I look at Elaine "she doesn't like me" I say "you have hickeys on your neck she's a catholic and saving herself till marriage" she says simply I groan "I'm slapping your dad when I get home" she laughs "send me the video of you doing so" I roll my eyes

I soon met Kay, she was bubbly and a great person from the hour I spent with her, I'm now on my way back to Ken's once the Uber is outside my phone dings

I rub inside making Ken look up from the pizza he was about to bite into his shirt off making me smile "I have a call to take and I hate you" I slap his arm he just watched me "ok?" He asks I run into the guest room and close the door

"Hey Rena!" Mia yells a smile on her face making me smile "I can't wait to see you in a couple days" I tell her "I can't wait either! Nana said that you are bringing a date, I want to bring a boy from school but mom said no" the 10 year old didn't need a boyfriend and as much as I don't like Karla I understood

"Boys are stupid" I tell her Mia laughs "well you are dating a boy" I sigh "he's a little bit older then me so I would say he is a man" I say her eyebrow raises "oh so how much older?" I rub my head "he's uh 15 years older then me" a hear a choke knowing it's my uncle Ben, "wow! That's cool!" I smile shrugging "how is school?" I ask

Once Karla said our time was up Mia waves and says her I love you as do I, both of us in tears as the call ends, I hated the situation that Karla had put me in with this little girl, Ben still loves me as I'm blood to him and I know he would let me see her if Karla wasn't in the picture

Ken

I hear the door open and look in the hall waiting for Serena, the lights flicks on and I see her shadow no longer wearing the black jeans red shirt and black flannel, she comes over wearing her crop top and my boxers, blue eyes shot red "Rena what happened?" I stand up walking over wrapping my arms around her

"Just talked to my niece uh I always cry after I talk to her it's fine" she says softly looking at me "do you want to talk about it?" She shakes her head "can we sit and watch something?"
"Yeah"

She lays her head on my chest as I lay down on the couch, I feel her tears hit my chest as she starts to cry once more, soon enough she is asleep I continue to rub her back, Elaine walks in and smiles getting her phone and I roll my eyes as she starts to take pictures "she is asleep?" She asks I nod "would you be mad if I put her in my bed?" I ask softly Elaine shakes her head "I told you I'm ok with what's going on between you two"

"I just wanted to make sure" Serena picks her head up and looks back at Elaine "how was the night out?" She asks rubbing her eyes looking around the room "it was good, I don't think Beck is waiting till marriage think she already broke that" my eyes widen Rebecca once flashed me on purpose I immediately told her parents and Elaine ended up slapping her

"Doesn't surprise me" I say Elaine laughs softly Serena looks at me confused "oh she flashed me one time" she makes a face "oh that's fun" she gets off me and walks to the bathroom Elaine looks at me then walks over sitting next to me "do you plan on asking her out?" She whispers I nod "I want to get her something when I do so what should I get?" Elaine looks around

"She likes rings" I nod the women did have a box of rings and she always had on at three on each hand, "I can do that" she shrugs the bathroom door opens and Serena walks in "I'm going to go heat up pizza" with that she walks into the kitchen

"So you'll come to my aunts wedding?" Serena asks when I walk into the kitchen "yeah I'll go, I just still worried about your parents" I admit
"The only person you would have to worry about passed away, I don't even know if my parents will be there" she rubs her arm softly I knew she had a difficult time growing up and it was obvious she didn't speak much about it "after you eat do you want to go cuddle?" I wrap my arms around her then start to kiss her neck over the hickeys I left last night "yeah" she turns her head and pecks my lips

The next day

Serena

Me and Ken lay in bed watching Tv, Elaine went out with Dorian as we leave tonight "hey uh do you like this?" Ken asks then shows me a ring it was a small heart shaped ring that had smaller rose gold hearts on either side"yeah that's cute" he nods "what's your ring size?" My eyes widen "you don't have to get that for me?" I ask knowing that he was on Kay jewelers website "but I'm going to I was hoping to give it to my girlfriend" he says I blush "well your girlfriends ring size is a 7 and a half" he puts his phone down and cups my face kissing me, immediately I climb ontop of him a smile on my face as we make out
