Gina had been the one sitting in AP Lit early today. Jalen, having morning workouts, would rush in right before the bell.
Right on cue, Jalen sat down in his seat, and the bell rang at the same time. The boy practically danced in his seat when he realized they would be working on their project for the remainder of the semester.
They were finally on the same page. Gina came to his games and supported him specifically and the previous setting of Coleman's Halloween party where they shared yet another kiss. To Jalen, it couldn't get better than this until they made things official.
She sat at her desk reading another book while she waited on the instructions for the day. As much as Jalen wanted to speak, he decided to wait until their teacher announced their assignment since she was so into her book. Continuously taking peaks at her throughout the period Jalen watched as she read yearning to talk, but the girl had yet to look up and acknowledge his presence.
"Sorry guys I had extra emails to send but you can work with your partner on the project." Jalen muttered a quick "finally" to himself as his classmates moved around the classroom.
"Hey, Gigi." He faced her with a smile. Lucky him, Jacobi was out on an official visit so he wouldn't have to worry about dragging Gina out of that conversation.
