Chapter 2.

Two weeks later.

Well it's the second week of school and lately I haven't heard from Austin as much.

All I know is he's with Jaylyss. I'm guessing they're getting along pretty well..

Sigh.

We're on our 12 minute break and I'm sitting on me and Austin's usual spot where we meet up. I searched for him but I soon gave up knowing he'd be with her.

Now I know you might be thinking I'm jealous or whatever..

Well I am.

He's my bff and I don't want some girl ruining that.

I heard laughing and I quickly turned around.

I then saw Austin and Jaylyss heading my way. I sighed and turned back around.

"Hey Buttercup." Austin smiled and sat in front of me.

"Hey." I simply said with a fake smile.

He wrinkled his eyebrows. He knew whenever something was wrong with me and I absolutely hated that.

"What's wrong?" Austin asked.

"Nothing." I said with a fake smile.

"Carly.."

"It's nothing don't--" I got interrupted yet again by the same person.

"C'mon Austin she said nothing's wrong, let's go." She nudged him.

I rolled my eyes and looked down.

"Yeah, go Austin." I looked at him.

"Austin? Since when do you call me by my name? I thought it was always Mahone with you."

The 2 minute warning bell rang indicating we had to get to class.

I got up and looked at Austin. "See you later."

I walked towards my class when all of a sudden I was knocked to the floor.

"Ouch." I winced as I tried getting up.

"I'm so sorry." The boy said.

I looked up at him.

"Here let me help you." He held out his hand and I took it.

I looked at him again. He looks really familiar.

"What's your name?" He asked grinning.

"Carly. Carly Collins." I smiled.

"Well Carly, I'm very sorry for knocking you down." He gave me an apologetic look.

"No, it's ok, I wasn't looking.. hey, what's your name?" I asked really curious.

"Benny Resendiz." He gave me a half smile.

"That sounds so familiar.." I made a confused face. I started to think where I knew him..

"Wait. Benny? Oh my gosh, my mom used to babysit you!" I exclaimed.

He seemed quite confused but started chuckling. He started to think for a minute.

"Oh my gosh! Carly? It's been so long!" He pulled me into a hug. "I haven't seen you since we were kids!" I hugged him back and started laughing.

"I remember you had short hair, it's so long now, you've changed a lot!" He exclaimed.

"What are you doing here? I never saw you before at this school." I asked.

"I'm actually getting transferred here. Isn't that great? New school. New life. I start tomorrow though." He said looking around.
