"just great." were the words that almost escaped your lips, but luckily you stopped yourself in time. had you known that kai had been working that day, you would've never walked in.
but it's okay that he's there. because you're now moving on to a better part of your life. and he was in the past.
both of you knew that.
so as kai watched as you and katsuki laughed and talked while sharing a bowl of「favorite flavor」ice cream, he knew that his time had passed and he would eventually have to get over you.
even if it took him for years to come.
you looked over at katsuki and gave him an apologetic look. "i'm sorry. had i known he'd be here, i wouldn't have brought you here."
"nah, it's fine." katsuki said, but you could clearly see the discomfort that was on his face since he had noticed kai.
so in order to distract him, you decided to act as annoying as possible to get his mind off of it. and apparently it worked. annoying questions and unnecessary remarks got katsuki's mind completely off of enkai and now onto your ridiculous phrases.
