Elias was equally surprised by the revelation. He nodded slowly, still processing this newfound ability. "Apparently, I can," he replied, a sense of wonder in his voice.

Before Elias and Kai could continue their conversation, they heard shouts echoing through the hallway.

"Bring some more liquid vervain, subject 12144 is more hostile than usual!" a doctor called out.

Another doctor protested, "We already gave him three doses!"

The first doctor was insistent, "Well, we need more. He's very adamant about getting out today for some reason..." His voice trailed off in concern.

Kai's observation hit Elias like a bolt of lightning. "Seems like he knows you're here," Kai remarked, his eyes fixed on Elias.

Elias nodded in agreement with Kai's observation before he extended his hand toward him.

Kai regarded the outstretched hand with confusion.

"Siphon me," Elias instructed firmly. "We don't know what'll happen if you siphon all the magic from the spell that brought you here. So, from now on, you siphon me."

Kai nodded but issued a warning. "It'll hurt," he cautioned.

Elias was resolute. "I know, just do it," he urged.

Kai complied, grabbing Elias and placing his hand over Elias's mouth as he began to siphon magic from him.

Elias had expected to feel some burning or pain during the siphoning process, but to his surprise, he felt nothing.

Kai pulled away once he was finished, and Elias turned to him with a puzzled expression. "Did it work? I didn't feel anything," he remarked.

Kai, however, didn't answer verbally. Instead, he stretched his hand toward the doctors in the hallway and clenched his fist, causing them to collapse to their knees, writhing in agony.

Kai then turned back to Elias with a smirk. "Yeah, I think it worked perfectly," he declared confidently.

Elias couldn't help but give a small smile before he rushed to the door the doctors had previously been standing before and pushed it open.

Elias entered the room and immediately spotted a figure lying on the floor within a cell.

Without hesitation, Elias rushed toward the cell, calling out, "Enzo!" But the body inside remained limp and unresponsive.

Desperation and determination welled up in Elias as he attempted to shake the cell bars, hoping for a response. When that yielded no results, he scanned the room for keys or any means to unlock the cell.

Elias rummaged through cabinets and drawers but came up empty-handed. Frustration gnawed at him as he returned to the cell, his frustration reaching a breaking point.

He raised his arms, and with a flash of power, he blasted the cell bars into pieces, clearing the way to reach Enzo.

Elias rushed to Enzo's side and gently lifted his head, a rush of emotions flooding him as he made contact with his soulmate.

But his joy was short-lived when he realized that Enzo remained unresponsive.

In a desperate attempt to wake him, Elias shook Enzo, but there was still no response. The weight of the situation pressed heavily on Elias, and tears began to stream down his face.

"He's not dead; he's just passed out," Kai's voice suddenly appeared as he knelt down beside Elias, breaking through Elias's anguish.

Elias turned to Kai, his voice trembling with worry. "How can you be so sure?" he questioned, seeking some reassurance.
