journeying together via the train to the downtown mall, a serene 15-minute ride paved the way for anticipation.
stepping off the train, the bustling ambiance of the mall enveloped them as they navigated through the throngs of people. upon arrival, a huddle ensued, the group deliberating their agenda for the day.
"makki suggested grabbing some boba, anyone up for it?" proposed mayu, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
"no—" without missing a beat, she eagerly linked arms with makki, their determination palpable as they rushed toward the boba store, leaving the rest momentarily stunned by their quick departure.
iwaizumi, quick to rebound, suggested, "you guys wanna go to the arcade after they get boba?" a unanimous nod rippled through the group, resigned to biding their time until the duo's return.
meanwhile, in the queue for their boba fix, makki and mayu scanned the menu displayed on the screen above the counter. "whatchu want? my treat." makki offered, playfully winking at the girl, who beamed in response.
