stupid. getting ready for the semi-formal turned out to be more of a challenge than mayu anticipated.
determined to create some distance from recent events, she persuaded her mother to let her handle her makeup on her own. grateful for the comforting support from her loved ones, she managed to divert her thoughts from the turmoil.
finishing her makeup, she donned her stunning red dress, gazing at herself in the mirror, attempting to force a smile. tooru had graciously helped her with the intricate back curls, and the result was stunning.
taking a moment for final touches, she spritzed on her favorite perfume and slipped into her elegant black heels, careful with each step as she descended the stairs to meet her brother, who was already prepared.
"what a revenge dress!" tooru exclaimed as she approached him. "tooru, it's not a revenge dress." she replied, trying to stifle a smile as she took the red and black mask from his hand.
tooru playfully applauded her, "i should become your hairstylist, look at those curls!" he praised, admiring the beautifully curled hair he had fashioned for mayu. "maybe you should." she teased back.
as their father grabbed the car keys, ready to head out, he glanced at his children in admiration. "are you two ready to go?" he asked. the twins nodded in response.
