## 𝗆𝖺𝗒𝗎'𝗌 𝗁𝖺𝗂𝗋 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝖼𝗁𝖺𝗉𝗍𝖾𝗋
blushing. after the intense prefectural tournaments, mayu breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that the immediate pressure was finally off.
with nationals still a month away, she felt a temporary reprieve from the intensity of the competition. however, the weight of academic responsibilities and the demands of school life continued to gnaw at her.
sitting at the familiar spot on the dining table while her mother lovingly fixed her hair, mayu couldn't help but question the sudden maternal hairstyling session.
"why are you suddenly doing my hair, mom?" she asked, somewhat puzzled by the unexpected attention.
her mother, immersed in the task, replied, "i've been at this since you were a baby. you never let me do your hair anymore." mayu chuckled lightly, "i see."
meanwhile, tooru lounged on the couch, absorbed in the tv, noticeably not dressed for school unlike diligent mayu. "your brother claims to be sick, but i think the loss has him feeling depressed. i'll let it slide for now."
tooru, overhearing the conversation, chimed in, "mom, i can hear you."
as her mother finished the hairstyling, passing the mirror to mayu for inspection, her deadpan expression reflected her dissatisfaction. "mom, i seriously can't go to school with this hairstyle," she remarked, standing up to address her mother's frown.
