Illusion of happiness

Jk was in Busan in current time. He immediately grabbed taxi for the hospital bc jimin already sent him location.

Within 25 mins Jk arrived there, his legs were jelly lacking of strength in them bc he wasn't mentally prepared to face this situation until his bestfriend jimin gets noticed from his sight waiting for him. Jk tried to run forward fastly but Jimin was much quicker. They both hugged eachother & Jk even started sobbing onto jimin's neck

Jm: How are you koo? It feels like eternity since I met you *caress his back

Jk: I'm good jiminah *back off* how are you? And Is dad-d fine now? *Wobbly lips

Jm: *wipes tears* By the grace of God everything is under control now *smile with tears*

Jk: Really? *Overwhelmed* U dk how long my journey was, minutes were passing like hours. I wanna see dad. Please take me to him

Jm: I already informed uncle & aunt that you were on your way *hold his hand* he was so happy after knowing that you're coming to visit him *proceed to walk*

They both walked together, and after listening Jimin's words Jk felt lil relief in his chest. He took a deep breath before walking inside the patient's room

Mrs Jeon: I missed you my boy *embrace him* My eyes were searching for you since morning *pecks cheek gently

Jk: I missed you more, mom
*doe eyes*

Mr Jeon: Nobody missed me ig? *Interrupt*

Jk: Dad-d *holding back tears* how you got in this condition, aren't u taking care of yourself? Ik bc you always be careless towards your health and--

Mr Jeon: Kookie *chuckle*
Take a breath

Jk: U laughing?! *stern* I'm serious

Mr Jeon: come here baby (Jk sat holding his hand securely) I saw you and now I'm totally fine.

Jk: Please, take care of yourself dad *kiss his hands dropping tears* You're my world and I can't live without you *sniff*

Mr Jeon: I'm not leaving you kookie *sat up slowly & hugged him* Your father is getting old so it's natural for me to be weak.

Jk: But still my dad is the strongest *hugging like baby* And he'll always be

Jm: Such a baby
*chuckle with thoughts*

Mr Jeon: Hehe Ofc bc I'm kookie's father. who is my strongest lil boy *back off & brushed his hair neatly

Mr Jeon: You wanna know a good thing?

Jk: Yes yes. What it is?

Mr Jeon: We are taking discharge today

Jk: really?
Or u just doing this bc I came?

Mr Jeon: No kookie. Everything is really fine with my health now & still if u want reassurance then ask your mom

Jk looked back where his mom was standing and she nodded with a Positive smile which also made him happy and relieved at the same time

Jk: I'm so thankful to God right now

Mr Jeon: *slow blink* How's your married life going son? Are you happy there?

Jk pause with a genuine happy blink which was noticed by jimin who is currently thinking that Jk is acting all well

Jk: I'm happy with my husband and things are going well with us  *slightly rubs his palm upon dad's knuckles

Mrs Jeon was having a bit relief after hearing Jk's response meanwhile jimin step closer to them & had an eyecontact with jk

Mr Jeon: I'm happy that I made right decision for your future *pat on hair*

Jimin scoffs in air which was noticable for jk and he gave him eyes to watch his behaviour & not to create a scene

Jm: How long are you going to lie to them kook? Uncle! His life has became mess after marriage. His husband is not the right person for him  *gritt his teeth while thinking

Mrs Jeon: But where is your mister "handsome" husband *teasing* he didn't came to visit?

Jk: (I'm sorry mom I have to lie) He's out for some business conference. I apologise from his behalf--

Mr Jeon: No, kookie,
It's completely okay. U don't have to apologise. He might come to pick you nah then we'll see him

Jk: *hummed with low face

Mrs Jeon: you might be tired so you & jimin go home and we're also coming in an hour only, just paper work is left

Jm: I'll drop kook and I'll come back if you need me *grabbed jk's luggage

Mrs Jeon: No mochi *touch his cheek* you be with him. I'll handle everything

Jk: *hug* come soon dad.
I'll be waiting

Mr Jeon: I will. Go safely *waved

Both jimin & Jk arrived home. Jk was feeling so relieved after coming back to his room and everything was just same like it was before. While jk was making himself comfortable, jimin came in dragging his luggage

Jm: such an great act you represented infront of your parents *sarcasm* I must say

Jk: Jiminah *sweetly made him sit* For the every first time I wasn't lying to them

Jm: What u mean? *Stern*

Jk: Tae is trying to change himself *bite his lips* For me. Infact he really wanted to come here with me but I denied bc of jungme

Jm: Are u hearing what u are actually saying rn *unbelievable* Maybe this might be his smart move to manipulate you

Jk: No jiminah *caress his cheek* I already have trust issues BUT I'm not falling for words trap bc he physically made me feel that he cares

Jm: Koo~ (Jk nods) Idk baby if you're really happy or this just illusion of happiness

Jk: He's really-- [phone rang] Look! He called to ask if I arrived safely or not *smiled  on screen* U be silent, I'll keep it on speaker

Jm: *nodded

Tae: Hey! U didn't msg so I thought to call you *pleasent tone* Did you arrive already?

Jk: Yes *look at jimin* I just arrived half an ago and sorry I forgot to msg you

Jm: *listening carefully

Tae: It's completely alright, sweetheart--

Jm: SWEETHEART??! *Repeated in shock but jk cover his mouth

Tae: What was that sound?

Jk: *slutters* Ah-m nthg it's just my background is noisy that's why *hits on jimin's arm* Where is jungme? U r with her right?

Tae: Yes, your highness *flirtatious* I'm with your doll only as you said before going

Jk's cheeks tend to heat more when jimin looked at him with those expression and crossed arms. Jk was shy plus embarrassed in this situation to he thought to save himself while walking away but....
