Chapter 16

Brynnley:

When I finally got Jensen out of Jason's room, we were on our way back to the dorm. Jason said he would give us a ride home, which was nice. I went to see if Carter wanted to come along too but heard his shower running, so I let him be. Once we returned to the dorm, we both ran to our beds and sat in our gossip talk position.

"I am going first," I say

"What is going on with you and Jason? You ran into his arms after the game," I say, still shocked.

She shyly smiles "I really like him, Brynn; he treats me like a queen," she says

I was awed at how cute they would be. Jensen needed a man to boss around with her kind of personality.

"Okay, now that you know my stuff, How did the planning go," she says, eager to know

I blush thinking about our kiss together

"It, uh, it went good. We start tomorrow," I say

I explained to her the rundown of the plan that we are going to do

"Something else happened," I say, knowing I have to tell her

"Spill," She said

"Carterandimayhavekissed," I said so fast I couldn't even understand myself

"One more time," she said, trying to understand my speed-talking

"Cater and I kissed," I said, all giddy

"YOU WHAT?" She said with a smile on her face

"Yeah, we were watching a movie, and I put my head on his shoulder, and he looked at me, and I looked at him, and we leaned in, and yeah," I say, recalling that moment

"Oh my god!! Brynn!!!!" she says, standing up and jumping around all giddy

Her reaction is how I am feeling on the inside right now. I laughed at her response, and we both calmed down. Well, it seems like we both had eventful nights.

We both headed to bed as I had to prepare myself for phase one of our plan tomorrow.

Next day...

I get to work a little early since I'm opening up today and mostly because I need to prepare myself for what is to come.

As I finish cutting fruit for the bar, I get a text from Carter saying that he is pulling up.

It's go time.

I meet him by the front door and greet him with a hug

"Hey," I say, trying to relax

"Hey beautiful," he says

Yup, I definitely feel relaxed now

As I try not to blush, I tell him to follow me.

We head down the stairs to where our bag drop is. When I told him we would have to go to bag drop, he looked so confused. I forgot he doesnt know golf lingo. It's basically a garage that keeps all the golf carts with a room attached to the garage where all the golfers keep their golf bags so they don't need to bring their bags back and forth.

Anyway, we headed down to the garage, and I found his dad's cart right away. It has a big name tag that says Richard Jones on a gold plate. Extra, I know.

Carter heads over to the cart while I'm on the lookout. He takes out a big pushpin and pokes a whole bunch of holes in the front left tire and the back right tire, making them uneven.

When he was done, we rushed out of the garage and headed back up the stairs as I guided him to the restaurant.

He sits at a table, and I sit across from him since no one else is in there.

"Are you sure this is going to work?? " I ask, trying to catch my breath. I really need to go to the gym. "I hope so, but I believe it will work. I have faith." He said confidently

"Well, since you are here, do you want a bite to eat," I ask him, grabbing a menu for him

He nods and takes the menu gratefully

He orders a burger like the last time, and I wait with him till it is ready

"As much as I'm nervous about this, I will say that it was very exhilarating' I say

He laughs "I didn't know you had this dark side to you," he says with a smirk

I smile softly "Maybe I do," I say, flirty

He chuckles "I can't wait to see more of this dark-sided Brynn."

"I'm sure she'll be crazy when she comes out," I say, giving him a playful look.

I hear a bell ring, meaning his food is up, so I excuse myself and go grab his food.

I come back into the restaurant and place his food down while stealing one of his fries.

I wink and see a member walk into the restaurant, so I grab menus and greet them.

Once they get all situated, I see Carter come over to me

"Thanks for the food. I should head out before the piece of shit I call my father comes in." He said while handing me a one hundred dollar bill.

"Wait, let me get your change," I say before he leaves

"Keep it, call me when you get out," He said, placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Bye, Beautiful," he says, walking out

"Bye," I say softly while blushing

What is he doing to me?
