EXT. BRIDGE STREET

Hawkeye tripped a Chitauri soldier and the former rammed an arrow down its throat. Black Widow got her hands on an energy rifle and stick-fought them. Captain America and Madam Independence joined in and the former using his shield, swapped and whacked oncoming Chitauri soldiers. Lightning struck down from the sky, channeling the blast, firing the electricity out at the Chitauri soldiers around them. They were blasted back in a massive shockwave. The Chitauri soldiers convulsed and dropped dead to the ground. Thor touched down.

"What's the story upstairs?" Captain America and Lieutenant Liberty asked.

"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable," Thor answered.

Iron Man voiced, "Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys."

"How do we do this?" Black Widow wondered.

"As a team," Captain America and Lieutenant Liberty answered.

"I have unfinished business with Loki," Thor said.

"Yeah, get in line," Hawkeye shot back.

"Save it," Captain America told them. "Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, they're gonna need us..."

Just then, Bruce arrived on a small motorbike. Getting off, he looked around the city and said, "So, this all seems horrible."

"I've seen worse," Black Widow stated.

"Sorry."

"No. We could use a little worse."

"Stark?" Captain America called. "We got him."

Iron Man questioned, "Banner?"

"Just like you said."

"Then tell him to suit up," Iron Man instructed. "I'm bringing the party to you." Iron Man came out from behind a building. The Chitauri Leviathan followed impatiently.

EXT. BRIDGE STREET

The rest of the Avengers looked up, getting ready and standing still.

"I... I don't see how that's a party..." Black Widow stated.

Iron Man swooped down the street. The Chitauri Leviathan also swooped down, barreling down the street like a freight train that kept building and building its intensity. Bruce looked behind. Captain America and Madam Independence looked at him. Bruce began to walk towards the monster.

"Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry," Captain America said.

"That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry," Bruce replied.

Bruce's body started to swell and stretch and harden. Green shot through his body and he turned into the Hulk who smashed. Hulk popped the Chitauri Leviathan in the nose. The creature flipped over a 360. Iron Man, mid-flight, extended his arm out and a rocket, ready to shoot. Iron Man fired -- the rocket hit a soft spot. Large Chitauri Leviathan were blown away. Other pieces of meat caught fire and withdrew and sizzled as they hit the pavement. Captain America raised his shield to block them.

From above and on the buildings, the Chitauri army watched in horror as a group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes found themselves united against a common threat.

EXT. SKY

Loki watched below, motionless and ordered, "Send the rest."

EXT. VASTNESS OF SPACE

From the portal, thousands more of the Chitauri soldiers and more Chitauri Leviathans flew out.
