I woke up to the smell of smoke in the air and an annoyed voice, "if these girls set the damn camp on fire..." I mumbled, I changed into my regular clothes and peaked outside the tent. Sure enough Omisha had her face in her hands, Shizyle was rubbing her back soothingly and Raven was talking sternly over some burnt food,

"Maybe you should let ME do the cooking from now on..." He mumbled as he extinguished the fire,

"Looks like I missed out on some fun." I said sarcasticly.

"Yeah SO much fun." Raven responded in the same tone,

"Aro! I'm not that bad of a cook am I?" Omisha asked, rushing towards me,

"Omisha, you're a great friend, so with all the platonic love I have, you're a horrible cook, more than half the time before Raven joined us we were eating burnt food." I said, she gave a mock offended look(at least I think it was a mock.) before saying,

"Yeah says the one who also can't cook, you burnt some SOUP one time. How do you do that!?" She exclaimed, Raven looked at me confused,

"I'm with her on that, Aro it's mostly a liquid, how?" I grumbled and ignored the question,

"Let's just eat, break camp and continue walking." I said annoyed, Shizyle giggled a bit and Omisha walked over and started talking. After eating some delicious food (cooked by Raven this time), I noticed something the distance, I looked over and I squinted my eyes. I saw a monster of some kind, staring right back at me, it bounded towards me, everyone turned when they heard the footsteps rushing in our direction,

"What's that!?" Raven yelled out, the thing stared over at Raven and turned its full attention to him, it lunged at him and looked like it was going to bite. In a split second I grabbed Raven's arm and pulled him towards me, another thing I should've thought of bringing, weapons! I heard the sound of magic and the trees branches and roots went into overdrive, tying around the monster,

"I can't hold it forever, think of something!" I heard Omisha's strained voice, despite the creature being held down by Omisha I could still barely make out what it was,

"Are the points at the end of your wings are sharp?" Raven asked pointing at one of the spikes on them,

"Probably, why-" I cut myself off I only then realized I still had my grip on Ravens arm and I let go. I walked up to the monster, I stared at it for a long time trying to figure out where and when to stab it. Finally lifted my wing above it and drove the spike through it. My wing went through its neck. It went limp and Omisha didn't sound strained when she spoke, just out of breath,

"Well, let's see what it was, I could barely tell."

"Good thinking." Shizyle said approaching it. The trees went back to normal and I could get a good look at the monster. It looked like a wolf except for the fact that it had a tail like a scorpion, I assumed it stung like one too.

"Aren't these things bound to Marnik's realm?" I asked. Marnik was our God healing, and venom is a good way to make medicine, those things shouldn't ever leave his realm without his permission.

"There's been a rumor going around that some ancient being is trying to steal them along with other things related to Marnik." Raven murmured,

"Where'd you hear that?" Shizyle asked, she was kneeling down beside Raven, both of them looking at the scorpion tail, if they were thinking what I was, it would be very useful, if we had the resources to make the venom into medicine.

"Some demi-gods were talking about it in the tavern, did you not overhear? It was the day I met you." Raven asked, pulling his gaze away from the scorpion tail, meeting Shizyle's eyes. She shook her head, before fixing her gaze onto the scorpion tail again,
