10. MEMORIES

Aarav's pov

Locke dragged me with him . He wanted to apologize for some shit.. We sneaked into girls hostel and then into our girls room by window

Our girls? Great Aarav... You got jelous and already did some stuff and now claiming her as your girl

She was combining her hair and locke directly went on bed with flowers for kathie

I walked towards Reva but stopped listening to her melodious voice

Her voice was amazing

" "Woah " This words automatically escaped my mouth. She turned around and shock was visible on her face

" Aar.... " She walked towards me and I quickly pressed my hand on her mouth

" We sneaked into a girls hostel and in your room so keep your voice low " I said softly and she nodded

" You have such a pretty voice " I said and my voice was really soft

" My mom used to sing this song alot " I said remembering few moments.. My mom used to sing this alot

I used to think it was for my dad but it was for someone else with whom she ran away.

I don't know whom to blame. My father behaves very badly with me because of mom? Or my mom ran away because of my father's behavior

But I felt a sense of comfort and warmth when I heard Reva sing  mom's favorite song, it reminded me of happy memories with my mother

I remembered  Mom humming along with it, Mom's cheerful voice and joyful demeanor.
She was always so playful and cheerful when this song came on, and she would sing alongside Me . I would gleefully join her in singing along.
It was a cherished and beloved memory for Me one that would be burned in My memory forever.

"  I  learned to sing from my mom actually. " Reva said and I looked at her

" Wait really? So that's why your voice is so beautiful " I complimented her and it was not a fake one . Her voice is really very sweet

" Thanks to mom.. Because her voice was sweet so my voice is sweet too " She smiled softly

" I would really like to meet your mom " I said and chuckled

" Um...My mom actually passed away " She said softly the smile on her face faded

" I am sorry? " I said softly. I can feel the pain of separation from mother. Mine left me and I don't even know if she is alive or not but Reva saw her dying

" Bro ! We can't go out for atleast for 2 hours.. Guards are on round " I heard locke who was sitting with kathie and I nodded

I remove my shoes and lay down on Reva's bed and she laid down besides me

There was moment of silence between us. I was staring at ceiling. I don't know what to talk now ? But this silence is killing me

" Can I cuddle you " She asked softly and I nodded. She placed her head on my chest and put her hands around my waist softly

Strange but I was comforted by her presence and felt safe as she cuddled close to me. I wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin on her forehead

The two of us remained silent, enjoying the comfort and closeness of the each other
We stayed like this for a while, until Reva eventually fell asleep, her head resting peacefully on My chest. I smiled softly... Her face is so cute

I was sleeping peacefully suddenly a light tap on my shoulder woke me. It was locke

I yawned and shaked Reva a little.. She opened her half eyes

" I should leave now " I said and softly and she nodded. In her half sleep she sat straight and I too sat on bed and started wearing shoes. When I was done I looked back at her.. She lay on bed and her eyes closed

I chuckled looking at her sleepy state

" I am going " Whispers in her ears

" Hmm " She just hummed in her sleepy voice and I chuckled again.. I kissed her forehead and  left her room

" Aarav? " As we came carefully and secretly came out of their hostel. I heard locke calling my name

" Yes? " I said

" Today is a family dinner.. " He reminded me of the worst thing. The FAMILY dinner

The day when my dad, his wife, his son and me and Alisha dinner together

The day when he doesn't leave a chance to show that Raghav is far better than me

" I see, thanks for reminding me " I said to locke I hate this family dinner

" And he got eyes on your girlfriend too " Locke reminded me of today's incident fuck... Either Raghav will point out canteen incident or try to be close to Reva

" I won't be meeting Reva tomorrow as I have take Alisha on shopping she wants to buy some dress and gifts for thanksgiving.. So tell her and kathie to stay away from him. And don't tell Reva his name " I said to locke and he nodded
