24. GETTING ENGAGED

It was 7:00

When finally main door opens and she came out

I was freezing on cold and take baby steps towards her

" Please, please.. I'm so sorry.
I really am.I messed up badly, and you have every right to be upset with me.I'm begging you to forgive me... I just don't know what I would do without you. Please forgive me, please " I started begging her and tears were mixing with rain

" Aarav, I wont and dont make me feel guilty by standing in rain. I told you before leaving that I don't want to see your face then why did you come here? " She asked me

" To win you back " I said . She stays silent

" I love you Reva, I really do " I said softly and she started hitting my chest

" You are total jerk, you are biggest idiot alive, you are so bad " Her cursing was cute and her hands hitting my chest was light not as forceful as last time

I quickly wrapped my arms around her and pull her into tight hug

I hold her like she is going to disappear in any second and I couldn't let that happen . She sobs and stays in my embrace for few seconds and then pushed me away from her

" I would do ANYTHING everything to win you over, i would cross Any limit , Any boundary, Any taboo to claim your love " I said moving closer to her

" I am going to get engaged " She said and I forze

" What? " I asked again not believing what she just said

" I am getting engaged day after tomorrow " She repeated again

This time is was not hurt I felt inside me.. It was anger pure rage

" I am more furious than you could imagine " I gritted my teeths

" Because you are getting engaged all willy nilly, without even giving me a chance to prove my love? I can cross any limit for you " My voice was dangerous and deep

I looked at her finger and saw promise ring I made her wear

" You are still wearing my promise ring Reva " I said staring at her

" Then come to engagement and see how I throw this ring in front of you and wear Another " She said Confidently as she was going to do the same

" Are you willing to marry him? " I asked her

" Yes, I am " She replied again she sounded confident

" Do you think he is best for you? " I asked her one last question

" Yes, he is best for me " She said.. I hate the damn confidence in her voice

I didn't reply just started walking away

" Day after tomorrow at my home... Morning 11:00 make sure to attend as you should take what's yours with you " She said showing me her hand.. Talking about ring

I didn't replied and left from there quickly

She is getting engaged? That too day after tomorrow? So am I finally loosing her?

I was walking then suddenly my eyes falls on someone familiar..

I have never seen mom this happy with dad

She left crosses the street and moved out of my vision

Mom is so happy with someone else... Reva will be too right ?

I heard horn of car and looked beside. It was Rohan in his car

" Don't say she rejected you that's why you are thinking of hitting  aunty now? " Rohan mocked me

" Don't , she is someone close to me " I said looking st empty street

" Huh your someone close in India? I am curious " He asked and his tone was mocking

" My mom " I whispered softly and he was silent now.. No mocks

" Well.. Hop in, I will give you ride... " He said and I shook my head

" I am good " I replied..

" Ok then see you at her engagement " Rohan said and I looked at her

" The guy is choosen by me... You should see my choice for my sister " He said and smirked . I just nodded

Maybe it's best.. I broke her heart. She will be happy with him like my mom is with someone else

" I will " I said and started walking not wanting to engage more with him

I reached my hotel room and changed into my clothes. My body was hot due to fever

I take out my phone and starting searching for her

No doubt lots of people must have fallen for her . I take a look at her muffler and wrap it around myself

I closed my eyes

I was standing between guests as I was attending engagement of my everything I don't know how to live tomorrow onwards

How will I see her removing my ring and wearing someone's else . How will I See someone else claiming her

She was standing with a guy . Who was handsome enough

I saw her taking my promise ring out of her finger.. I looked down not wanting to look at the scene
