11. FAMILY DINNER

Reva was confused as to why the Aarav was not present in college.

It was unusual for him to be absent, as he was usually the one who was always there on time and attended everything obsessively.

She asked Kathie

" Why Aarav is absent today? " She asked hoping she would know the reason

"Oh yeah, Aarav has a family dinner tonight" Kathie replied and Reva nodded

" Well.. It's not my call to tell you but... " Kathie said and Reva looked at her

" Aarav's family.. He is not close to them " Kathie said and Reva was surprised

" Umm why? " Reva asked her

" Well, His mother ran away with someone when he was 15 then his father did second marriage.. She had a child and after marriage his father started giving more attention to Second wife's child who the that guy.. In whose lap you .. Aarav's dad dont like Aarav as he have blood of his cheating wife " Kathie finished and Reva was shocked hearing this

" He hates Aarav? And Alisha? " Reva asked confirming again

" Not Alisha, Alisha is adopted like after his dad's second marriage they had 2 boys so his father adopted a girl who is Alisha " Kathie did a shocking revelation

" Omg!! So twisted.. I didn't knew anything " Reva said and Kathie nodded

" Reva, I hope you can be with Aarav after dinner? " Kathie asked and Reva nodded

" Of course " Reva said with smile

" Reva, you are really important to me so do Aarav.. I can't choose any one... If in future you will like I am on his side then no I am on your side too " Kathie said and Reva smiled. Reva thought she was talking about a couple fight things

" We are not bad guys, I can't say about 2 .. But I, locke, cade and Aarav. We are not " Kathie said feeling guilty and Reva seems confused because of her sudden change in behavior

" What happened ? " Reva asked softly

" Nothing... Just we lost friends right? At some point? " Kathie asked and Reva nodded

" So if in the future the situation comes then please always remember we are not bad. Locke thinks of you as his sister, I think of you as my best friend, cade thinks of you as someone younger whom he likes to protect and Aarav......... You are someone he seems genuinely happy with " Kathie said and Reva nodded Hestitately

Aarav is on table and in front of him is Alisha
His step mother, step brother and father are at the table, and the atmosphere is tense and full of tension among the family members.

His stepmom is cold towards him, his stepbrother is jealous and hates him, and his father hates him and is always putting him down.

" What are your results? " His father asked looking at Alisha first

" 56% " Alisha replied still dating

" Alright, I hope you will do well in next exams? " Father asked and Alisha nodded

" What about you Raghav? " He asked with proud smile already

" 89 % " Raghav replied and his eyes spark with proud

" And yours " He looked at Aarav

" Umm 72 % " Aarav replied

" You should do better considering that you got such a low score " His father said to him and he clenched the fork tightly

His father is always comparing Aarav to Raghav and is always putting him down despite his efforts and achievements

Aarav just nodded and started eating..

After dinner, Aarav was washing hands then he saw Raghav's reflection in mirror

" Hello brother " Raghav said with smirk and Aarav ignored him

" Are you upset that dad said you scored low? You would score better if you stop roaming around that girl " Raghav said and something flickered inside him

" Must say.. She is so soft " Raghav said with a smirk trying to engage Aarav in a fight so that his father again got a chance to yell at Aarav

" I am curious how.. Easily she can scream the name " Raghav said provoking him

" Not. A. Word " Aarav replied looking straight into his eyes

"  I can make her mine… and you know that I already take the claim over your … opps OUR father  " Raghav said with constant smirk

" Roam around her and I will not hesitate hitting you so hard that there will be no one to call you FATHER " Aarav replied while putting his hand on his shoulder

Raghav's smirk dissapeared

" How easily she screams the name? Will you outside my apartment then you can hear how easily she screams my name  " Aarav said

" And last warning you passed such disgusting and inappropriate comments about My girl.. I wont hesitate to punch the dirty mouth from where words are coming.. STAY AWAY FROM HER " Aarav said patted his cheeks with little force that it almost felt like slap

" Let's go Alisha " Aarav said holding her hand

" Bhai, I want to stay here tonight " Alisha said and he nodded

" Take care of yourself " He said and kissed her forehead

Aarav came out of his home which never felt like home after his mother left him.

He reached his Apartment and starts unlocking

Cade was going to stay at his uncle's place and Alisha at home so today he is alone

He gets inside and saw some noises and light coming from kitchen. He moved closer and saw Reva cooking

" Reva? " He called and she looked at him with her sunshine smile

" You back? " Reva made her way towards him and hugged him

" You here? " Aarav asked still confused

" Kathie told me about family dinner.. So i thought we should spend some time " Reva said and Aarav understood what she meant

She is here for him so that he can feel good?

" Well I had dinner then why are you cooking? " Aarav asked

" I am making pasta and Sphegattie for movie night.. You will feel hunger around 1:00 or 2:00 " Reva said and she chuckled

" Nice smell... I think I will really be hungry " Aarav said smile and she nodded

She again went towards the stove and he wrap his hands around her waist and rested his head and hide his head in her neck

" What happened? " Reva asked putting one hand on his cheek

" I think.. I know what home feels like " He said softly and Reva smiled
