In the opulent halls of the big mansion, a sharp slap sound echoed through the air, drawing everyone's attention . A scene unfolded as it did every day, like a twisted ritual.

The staff, observing from the sidelines, cast sympathetic glances towards the man who bore the brunt of older man wrath, while three sets of eyes in the corner of the room gleamed with cruel satisfaction.

??: "Why the hell we didn't get Ms. Joy deal, huh?", his voice echoed through the room, demanding an answer.

The recipient of the slap, stood with his head bowed, gaze fixed on the polished marble floor, this cheek stinging from the force of the blow.

??: I said why didn't we get the deal," he demanded once more, his impatience growing by the second.

With a heavy heart, Finally, the man spoke, his voice barely above a whisper.

??: "Dad, she wants me to... to sleep with her for the deal."

The other man scoffed, dismissing his son words with a wave of his hand.

Mr. Kim: "So what. Kim Taehyung?" he retorted callously. "

"You're making it sound like it's some big deal. It's common thing in the business world, if we want something big, we have to do whatever it takes. Your siblings understand that perfectly well".

Tae's step-brother nodded in agreement, a smirk playing on his lips.

Yugyeom: "Yes, Dad is right. It's just the way things are done," he chimed in. Beside him, his step-sister nodded in approval.

With tears brimming in his eyes, Tae glanced up at his father, silently pleading for understanding. But he knew all too well the lengths his father would go to for money.

Mr. Kim seized Tae's chin harshly, forcing him to meet his gaze.

Mr. Kim: "Next time, if something like that happens, just obey whatever they say. Understand?" he commanded, tightly grabbing tae's chin.

Tae just numbly looks at his dad and Mr. Kim released his grip and shoved him harshly, causing Tae to stumble backward. Tae's knees buckled, and he crashed to the ground with a thud, his body jolting from the impact.

A smirk played on tae's stepmother's lips as she observed the scene unfold. Approaching her husband with false concern, she spoke in a honeyed tone.

Mrs. Kim: "Calm down, honey. Don't take stress, it's not good for your health."she cooed, her tone sickeningly sweet as she reached out to touch Mr. Kim arm.

Tae's step-siblings nodded in agreement.

Sana: "Yes, Dad. Why are you wasting your energy on this useless idiot?," his step-sister chimed in, a smirk playing on her lips.

Mrs. Kim looked at tae with a cold glare.

Mrs. Kim: "Yes, plus you're saying this to someone who doesn't know anything. He's totally useless," she sneered, her words like daggers.

As tae lay there on the ground, staring up at his family with eyes filled with hurt and tears. He knew there was no use in expecting compassion from those who saw him merely as a means to money. His worth measured solely by his ability to fulfill their material desires.

With a heavy heart, Tae watched as his family rolled their eyes and turned their backs on him, leaving him alone on the cold, hard floor of the mansion, abandoned and forgotten once again.

----

The Kim family sat around the grand dining table, the clinking of utensils and the hushed whispers of conversation filling the air.

Tae sat in silence, his appetite waning as he watched the maid serve him a small portion of food like always, a subtle reminder of his importance within the family and no one cares if he eats or not.

He was about to eat when suddenly, his father's steely gaze fell upon him, sending a shiver down Tae's spine.

Mr. Kim: "We have arranged your marriage with Mr. Jeon's son", his father declared, his words cutting through the uneasy silence like a knife

"I don't want to hear any objections from you. This marriage will bring profit for our company, And you will do anything for the profit", coldly.

Taehyung's heart sank as the weight of his father's words settled over him. He knew better than to protest, to defy his father's wishes. With a heavy sigh, he nodded silently, his gaze fixed on his plate.

Tae: "Ok", whispered slowly.

Across the table, Tae 's step-mother and siblings exchanged smirks, their eyes gleaming with anticipation of the benefits this marriage would bring to their family's wealth and status.

Lost in his thoughts, Taehyung absentmindedly toyed with his food, his mind consumed with thoughts about the future that awaited him.

After the meal, his family left him alone at the table with his thoughts. Slowly, he began to eat with a pout on his face.

In that moment, as he sat alone at the table, Tae couldn't help but wonder if he would ever find love and happiness in his life that he had been carving since childhood.

With a sad chuckle, he shook his head in resignation, his heart heavy with despair.

Tae: "Don't think too much, Tae," he murmured to himself, his voice tinged with sadness.

"Who would love a useless person like me?. No one.", bitter chuckle.

The weight of his own self-doubt pressed down upon him like a heavy stone, threatening to suffocate the flicker of hope that still burned within him.
