first time

The clouds formed all over the sky
It grew dark
And then red
Then it started raining

Everything became wet
I couldn't save my clothes
I had to hide them from my mom
The stain was going to stay

First time,
One drop and then another
It was soothing
It felt cold
Like the fingers of a ghost on your bare skin
Like an ice cream on a summer noon
I wanted more
A few more lightning
It was a beautiful escape
Washing away the pain
It took my mind of my heart
I cared less and started to forget
My problems started to disappear in thin air
The frequency of lightning increased
But I was far from being afraid
I enjoyed what it felt to be your own master
To have life in your terms
To let everything go and live at the edge of the knife

Then came the pain
Like the fever when you get cold
My skin was tired
It was painful
I wanted to stop the rain but I couldn't  the clouds were darker
Scarier
I tried to wash everything but the water added to my rain soaked skin
and things were worse
With the pain, i didn't know what to do next

So I just sat there
On the cold tiles
Waiting for miracles
Waiting for everything to stop
Crying and tired and scared
I just wanted to sleep
I didn't wanna die

I don't remember what actually happened that night
I came back to my room
And stayed under my sheets till the morning
I ran my fingers where lightning stroke
It flinched
It became uneven and felt like ravished roads after monsoon
Swollen and broken
Clots and pebbles everywhere
My skin didn't even want the softest touch
Not even the clothes
A tear escaped

Realization hit me hard
What have I done to myself!
