Description:

Huian is perfect in everything she does. Whether it's archery, swordsmanship, intellect, beauty-she has mastered it all. One thing she doesn't have, however, is free will. Betrothed to the heir of the Yao family, she has no choice but to marry the cold, distant, and unfeeling general. Having risen to the position of Zhulong, Yao Chenglei should be a perfect match for Huian. However, neither can stand the other.

When Huian is attacked by an ancient magic bent on killing her because of her lineage, Chenglei is dragged into her mess. Caught in a bloody battle between demons, Huian must discover the true meaning of her bloodline while also figuring out where Chenglei fits into her life. Demons, lust for power, and a dangerous romance-the path to Zhulong is drenched in blood.

This book is a little different than the two books in the series. The main difference that it's mostly about the main girl and not really the male lead much. And that's alright; it's still exciting. The other difference is that the main character is arrogant. Not really a bad arrogant where all her morals are wrong and she's cruel or anything. She just believes she's better than everyone else. And why not? It might be wrong, but it's understandable why she would think that. She's got a lot of things on her and a lot more. It's pretty realistic for her to be that way. She's not some rich saint. But it's her flaws that made me so drawn to her story. She is arrogant, but she has a good heart. The author made her that way on purpose. Some people try to write a saint character, but end up making them sound like a spoiled brat. But when it's done intentionally, it means the author knows what they're doing and there will be real character development.

The story is incomplete on Wattpad but complete on Tapas. I'd advise you to read on Tapas after finishing what's on Wattpad because I don't think the author will be ever finishing it on here (she explained why she removed Xuanlong on her board and in an author's note, and I believe the reason applies to her Zhulong and Yulong, too). But seriously, just head over to Tapas. All her other works (excluding Schemers) is on there, including the spin-off of Drakkon. This book is even getting its own comic on there so you'll get to see visuals of the author's imagination.

For those of you who are concerned about the locked chapters, this also has the wait-or-pay system like Xuanlong so you can get a free episode every day if you can't afford to pay or have time to play enough ads for the coins.
