A: False. Although the exact time is unclear (that I could find!) depending on the temperature and humidity, an octopus can survive for several minutes out of the water and in fact frequently moves across ground to get from one rock pool to another. One post quoted 30 - 60 mins but I couldn't find a scientific source for that.
